Gills put up a decent fight......................it's a pity it was with fists rather than feet !
What a bunch of excrement!....I thought that Ehmer had a poor game - sitting extremely deep - thus allowing the Newport players much more of the pitch - and , Ehmer assisted with Newport's 2nd goal - and with the 3rd, he just stood there watching the striker - when he could have put in a block - but - worse than Ehmer was Smith - absolutely shocking all game.
    As I have said before - there is virtually no quality being shown - and, last night, there was virtually no 'real' pressure on the Newport players --so- yet again, the opposition had too much time and space on the ball........simply not good enough....HOWEVER, I will award some credit to;
    1. Gbode - worked very hard - desperately needed closer support.
    2. McKenzie - another decent work ethic.....unfortunately you can't beat 11 opponents with just a couple who bother to properly 'try.'
    3. The net behind Morris's goal - had its' work cut out !

ps - what the Hell was Ehmer doing ( about 62 min ) - when Gills were defending a free kick in an attacking area, he was sharing a laugh with a Newport player ?- Gills were 0-3 and I couldn't see anything funny !

..... and, just for balance - I was grateful that Ehmer was in position to head clear - close to our goal line - I believe after another Smith 'mistake.' - thank you Mr. Ehmer - but one swallow won't make my Summer !

The first goal went in, and I turned off. Fed up with no effort. Just saw the final result this morning FFS
What with Carlisle, Tranmere, and Harrogate drawing. And more punishment. Morcombe, Stanley, and Barrow all winning.
It looks like there will be another thrashing this weekend with high-flying Bradford visiting. 3-0 last night, and yes, you guessed it WHO SCORED 2. J Lapslie
Scored more in one match for Bradford than in 2 seasons at Priestfield

Once again John Coleman never ceases to amaze. Post match he stated that he saw after three minutes that the defence were too open and then decided to do nothing about it all game. No changes to shape, no changes to play style, no substitutions. The man has a win ratio of 9% which is astoundingly crap. The five at the back clearly caused us too many problems last night as all three CBs had ropey games, only Smith just happened to be worse than the other 2. Little really doesn't do enough for me and we've backed ourselves into a corner by giving him the armband to continue to play him with his inadequate performances, just as I pointed out on this board a few weeks ago that this could happen. Nevitt is wasted playing that role, Morgan at least showed what a striker should be doing last night but the gap between the midfield and attack was ridiculous.

Coleman has rode on the coat tails of being Accrington manager for too long that he thinks he's better than everyone else with his bizarre decisions, when sadly us fans can see clear as day how he's mis-managing this situation. He's effectively been given a free hit at a permanent job and he's doing incredibly well to blow this opportunity for himself. I don't like constantly changing managers but I can't honestly see how we can progress under this man. If we can stumble our way across the line and stay up this season then we need a massive clearout with playing and coaching staff in the Summer. Start a fresh, and maybe get a Director of Football in whilst they're at it.

    1. Morgan
    2. Gbode
    3. The bench for giving a seat to too many players that were getting cold in the Wales conditions.

Where to start with all this...after the third goal went in last night, I did what Lenny did and turned it off. So my first question on the back of that is the same question I keep asking, where is Ogie? I do hope he and his family are ok, seems strange no news on a player that's missing from the starting line up and bench.

    1. Gbobe still putting in a shift
    2. Morgan for finding the net
    3. Lapslie :bandit: only joking

Is he? We've not had any news on whether he's fit or not. Just like with whats happening with Jonny Williams, or Euan Williams, or Marcus Wyllie, or Aaron Rowe, or Jacob Wakeling. Coleman has created a bigger mess than the one he inherited.

I just find it extraordinary that there has been no mention of him anywhere, not in the media, not on the official Gills site. Is anyone aware of him picking up an injury during a specific game, I don't remember it if he did, and I honestly can't think when it would not be normal to report it....

unless it is for personal reasons, then that's understandable.

Maybe the clubs reporting process or structure has changed, but that don't seem something that our owners would agree with, as they generally like keeping fans informed.

Despite all having poor games on Tuesday, the 3 current CBs had been doing OK in recent matches. Masterson is in my opinion abetter CB than Ogie and less of a liability and you only need one defensive sub when you also have McKenzie on the pitch (and Hawkins also on the bench), so I would assume that Ogie is just out of favour with the manager.

I mentioned a long time ago, if we had a stand in gaffer to get us through, look at the guy who found these players and got them a contract Hessy

my mistake, but it's still not a striker's target for two seasons, especially with the record he had when he was signed
