Already posted this which should have Trump and Vance shrinking with embarrassment at their callow behaviour.

But Trump will make an announcement on Friday which will say the exact opposite and the economy be revitalised. That is the genius of Trump.

Same with the tarrifs against Canada. He will rescind them next week but the Canadians will learned a vital lesson with Trudeau agreeing to make the Quebecois speak English.

I can’t believe Trump is withholding vital aid to Ukraine until they fire a prosecutor that is investigating his son

I see it is Canada's turn in the barrel this week.

The Trump presidency is like a slow motion car crash. However, I can see the logic and exactly why certain Americans feel this is necessary as the US is losing it's grip of supremacy. Everything is geared around exploiting the reserves of the rest of the world for the benefit of a nation that feels it has baled out the world since 1945. This is 19th century politics writ large. They want to thieve everyone's resources.

There are some fascinating issues coming to light such as ending the US postal services independence which will effectively stop postal voting which cost Trump the presidency last term. Student protests have always been contentious but they now look like being made illegal. Public services are being cut across America with Musk being awarded contracts for their replacement.

It is ironic that freedom of speech is being used as a vehicle for these changes. This will be a fascinating 4 years. I just feel Trump has too much to lose. Get things wrong and I feel loads of Republicans will be going to jail.after 2029. However, I can see Trump eventually banning all dissent. He will jail a load of Democrats during this term. I think things will get alot worse.

I am hearing Trump and Zelensky will sign that deal today. That will be something positive at last. I hope Zelensky doesn’t get ****ed later down the line.

    Of course he will.

I just feel that the whole point of America First is that everyone else suffers and is exploited by America. The US will plunder Ukraine's resources without letting then join NATO.

I will be fascinated by what happens to Canada. Looks like the threat to cut off electricity is going to backfire as more severe tariffs are now being discussed by Trump.

Right now Trump has achieved nothing. This was a deal Zelensky floated and not Trump’s initiative. Trump can still win me around if he does his bit now and forges a lasting peace where Ukraine get back go 2020 borders.

It is quite interesting fir Trump. The peace deal in Palestine has unravelled and I think the same will happen with Ukraine . He has staked his reputation on achieving peace but this seems to amount for support for the bullying nation as opposed to coming to a more reasonable resolution.

There was a comment in here by Puck which was concerned with poor publicity for Trump. The press has not been even handed yet I think Trump is indefensible. Last week he was singled out for his treatment of Ukraine whereas this week his economic policy is being roasted. You wonder how the attacks on Canada will play.

Amazing that Liz Truss was far less reckless yet her political party refused to let the damage continue beyond a month. The Republicans must be totally stupid.

Trump is probably the worst political
Leader in the Western world since Nero.

Thing is it's not like the resources can be extracted from Ukraine over night. It will take a while to get everything set up, and then years and years to actually mine the stuff.

In 4 years the Democrats will be back in power and they will cancel the deal as a goodwill gesture.

Possibly. Although apparently the minerals are really hard to extract so maybe Ukraine will want them to stay.

It would be hilarious if it turned out there weren’t any actual rare earths in Ukraine, and this was a long con by Zelenskyy.
