"Lets make Carrow Road a fortress" - Martin ( three points down the drain then)

Anytime one of the players at Norwich uses the term "fortress carrow road" we lose. I hope Martin hasnt jinxed us for the game against Newcastle as I feel winning that would really make us feel comfortable.

I remember Fotheringham and Hughed every week coming out with " we need to make carrow road a fortress" Only for the team to huff and puff but concede late on and ultimately lose.

i haven't seen the article in question, but i struggle to compare the team now with that when Fotherington was around, as does everyone.
the positive vibe will rub off!

Right. Tell me. Why do fellow mags keep going on about Holt so much? As far as I'm aware, he's benched most of the time and simply comes on as an impact sub, and he's scored 4 goals in 12 apps so far this season.

No one ever seems to mention the other strikers, it's always "watch out for Holt" or whatever. Why?

Its a lack of education about our team. I guess hes the biggest name and the most media friendly (unfriendly). He's not a typical premier league striker type mold.

I'm sure he's a good player, but a lot of mags seem to want our team to be built around trying to stop Holt, which I find strange as he'll probably be on the bench for most of the game.

Based on all of your previous predictions, surely this indicates 3 points and a clean sheet this weekend?

Yeah, you do need to build your team around stopping Holt. If you put all of your best players on the bench (maybe start with the youth side?) then they'll be at their freshest when Lambert bring Holt on after an hour. On a more serious note, I think Morison is an equal threat, but Holt somehow manages to get the entire team to go up another level when he comes on.

Whilst Holt may have only scored 4 in 12, I'd be interested to see how our record stacks up comparing him on and off of the pitch.

 

Nobody cares about Norwich and we have a big lump up front that comes on and scores sometimes......Fear him
