An argument I've often read on here is that it is Israeli aggression that keeps movements like Hamas alive and makes recruitment easy for them. I don't personally agree with that position, but I'm not so blinkered that I can't see why someone would take such a position. Why isn't the same argument extended to the Russia situation? Doesn't the continued existence of NATO and pushes for its expansion simply back Russia into a corner until, like Hamas, it feels compelled to lash out? So long as NATO exists, Russia is implicitly the 'enemy' and there is no real path toward integration.
