Well you assume wrongly, but that's your prerogative In the absence of any other governance in Gaza, it has to be Hamas, that's just the way it is for now. And most of that negotiating is being done by Egyptians and Qatari's. Hamas has complied with Phase one of the agreed deal, and now Israel, backed by interfering Trump, have decided to change the rules of the agreement, in order to try and gain an upper hand in negotiations and force Hamas' hand, with both the threat of war and the very real and immoral withdrawal of humanitarian aid. Hamas will release the hostages, but on the grounds that Israel sticks to the agreement and enters into Phase 2. And they are right to mistrust Netanyahu's motives, because backed by Trump, he wants to stymie Gaza and leave it without any Palestinian governance, which is completely unacceptable to the Palestinians and the international community Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told cabinet ministers during a recent meeting that Israel’s conditions in upcoming negotiations on the terms of the second phase of the ceasefire and hostage release deal are for the Hamas terror group to disarm and have no presence in Gaza, and for the Palestinian Authority to be barred from the post-war management of the enclave And on the final point, yes both Netanyahu and Trump are Psychopaths, immoral and lacking a conscience, to halt all humanitarian aid going to people who have experienced the worst horrors of this conflict.
Section 6 of Resolution 2735 Reiterates the commitment to a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine Stresses the importance of unifying the Gaza Strip with the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority Calls for the release of hostages, including women, the elderly, and the wounded Calls for the return of the remains of some hostages who have been killed Calls for the exchange of Palestinian prisoners Calls for the safe distribution of humanitarian assistance in Gaza Rejects any demographic or territorial changes in Gaza Funny, because in reality. It's Israel who are resisting any notion of a two state solution, unifying the West Bank and Gaza under PA governance (I literally just showed you the quote from Netanyahu where he says exactly this) Oh and guess who has just halted the safe distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza ?
Given that they fundamentally disagree with it's first two sub-clauses, I'm not sure why you're so surprised. Sub clause 1 undermines Hamas' entire ideology. Sub clause 2 undermines Hamas' entire political existence. Why wouldn't they try to stall that?!
Hamas would lay down weapons if a two-state solution is implemented, says group’s official https://www.thehindu.com/news/inter...nted-says-groups-official/article68104805.ece You think Israel wants a two state solution ? Also, tell me how Israel envisages governance of Gaza with no Hamas and no PA ?
Egypt condemns Israel’s cutoff of aid to Gaza, says it’s using ‘starvation as a weapon’ TEL AVIV, Israel — Egypt has condemned Israel’s decision to impose a complete siege on the Gaza Strip, accusing it of using “starvation as a weapon.” Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty on Sunday called for the immediate implementation of the next phase of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire. Egypt has served as a key mediator with the militant group. https://www.washingtontimes.com/new...condemned-egypt-says-using-starvation-weapon/ Like I said, a plan born from the mind of psychopaths.
Anyway, I cba to argue about this anymore tonight. Just stop being pricks and let the aid get to people who need it, then get round the table and start phase 2
Give me a break. Don't cite a Hindu Times article from 11 months ago FFS. Since his promotion to joint party leader, al-Hayya's tone has changed and his true colours have come out. Last October he gave a speech swearing that Hamas wouldn't stop until "every inch of Palestine is liberated and with Jerusalem as it's capital." Does that sound like a group committed to reform and lay down its arms? Re governance of Gaza, Israel would be totally fine with an international coalition led by Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and the USA as interim govt while the rebuilding takes place. Let's leave it here. We've both made our cases. I'm honestly shocked out how far and how quickly your opinion of Hamas has shifted, and apparently triggered by something Israel has done, which indicates to me that your opinion of Hamas is not an objective one.
I would say I'm shocked at your stance on glossing over Israel's denial of a two state solution, any involvement of the PA in Palestinian governance, resisting demographic or territorial changes in Gaza and denial of safe distribution of humanitarian assistance in Gaza. Which are all key components of Section 6 of Resolution 2735, which YOU cited. But I'm not shocked at all. Whether you, me or anybody else like it or not, Hamas are the ones negotiating in this ceasefire and they have stuck to the agreement so far. It's now down to Israel to get round the table and start Phase 2, not to try and change the conditions part way through the negotiations.
On the mineral deal, I have altered this deal, pray I do not alter it further ... ... and put on a suit.
