Just googled to be certain and I was right. He's from Chester, so elements of plasticity there. What about Samuel L. Jackson?

Agree with most of this, apart from Collins' drumming skills.

Do you remember when they were touring with 2 drummers - Collins & Chester Thompson?

CT literally blew PC away, and in fact he had trouble keeping in time with Thompson.

CT did have excellent grounding though, he spent several years in one of Zappa's bands - and FZ didn't tolerate ANY sort of shoddy musicianship.

Yeah, Chester Thomson was indeed excellent. I still think Phil Collins wasn't too shabby mind.

Funny thing is, I'm of the opinion that Collin's best work was with the Gabriel/Hackett version of Genesis.

His work on the early albums was pretty decent, but it all got a bit tame after Wind & Wuthering for my tastes.

Actually, and again this is only my opinion, but Duran Duran were an excellent band and during their time employed some stellar musicians.

Nick Rhodes was a long time keyboard player with Steve Hackett's band
Chester Thompson as has been said played with Zappa.
And they also had the services of another Zappa ex-member - New York guitarist Warren Cuccurullo

I'd never knock DD, some of what they did was pretty damned good.
