I hope Kadar plays, as he can actually play there, Simmo at CB against Holt would be a disaster

I remeber the few times he played CB in the Championship.

He tried his hardest, bless his cotton socks, but he was woeful.

All things considered, I would be OK with:

    RB - Simpson
    CB - Perch
    CB - Kadar
    LB - Santon

Eh? Is there something im missing. Why has everyone suddenly chucked Santon in at LB for this weekends match? Has Raylor been injured during this week or are people just doing their usual 'throw in a pointless suggestion that wont happen, just to make you sound somehow more knowledgable' thing?

Perch played well at CB in the second half from my view point. Beat Drogba (somehow) to nearly everything that came in the air. Id be much more comfortable with Kadar at CB than Simmo though. He has plenty of experiance still, even if its just from international duty, and has a better physique for the job than Simpson, cosidering what Norwich forwards are like.

Missed Gutierrez at the weekend like. Hopefully Tiote will actually be back sometime soon for some extra cover as well.

I'm not that worried. Whoever is chosen will step up.

It's the most notable thing this season - - whoeveer is chosen has manned up and done what he's had to: Raylor at LB, Simmo at RB (two players who were regarded as almost laughable at the beginning of the season but who are part of one of the best defences in the Prem), Shola, Sammi, Guthrie in mid-field, Perch in mid field, Perch at CB.

This doesn't even mention players who we thought were good but who have been fantastic, like Krul and Ba.

It's a team attitude thing: whoever gets the nod will do his bit.

I actually think this could be a great chance for one of our youngsters to make the step up..One mans loss is anothers gain.

If he can put a few performances together it would take the pressure off taylor and coloccini, and yet kadar and williamson could apply good pressure for a starting place in the future!

I chose Santon due to Raylor having the luxury of Colo next to him and Guti ahead. Now with Colo injured Santon should go ahead of him due to his pace.

    Simpson--Kadar--Perch--Santon
    for me
the only real arguement i had for keeping Raylor in the starting line up was too keep the continuity but now all thats gone we should see what Davide can do

Seconded, without Colo I think people would have been calling for 'Raylor Out!' long before the Manchester missqueues. That said, I'm afraid Pardew will be too stubborn and loyal to drop him, especially after making so many other hard decisions about the weekend's lineup...but I hope I'm wrong.

Don't get me wrong I'd love Santon to start, I just see Pardew as being way too stubborn/afraid to mess up the continuity more than he's forced too. Maybe he feels having to change 1/2 the defence is enough. Not sure what the communication is like with an Italian, a Hungarian, English and then mancunian mumbles.

    Colo is still 50/50 anyway

Fairly certain Kadar has learned English in his 4 years here, Santon is apparently struggling with the language and adapting to the English game.

If Colo is fit, which is a possibility now apparently, then it will be Colo and Perch. Perchino was pretty good second half at the weekend so he doesn't worry me too much.

If not then Perch and Kadar. Kadar always looked good against championship teams during his 13 games and lets not forget, that is what Norwich were last season.

I think Kadar will do ok given the chance.

Kadar has always impressed me, hopefully he's given a chance to sign to prove to Pardew that he's a better option as cover than Perch.

I swear someone high up at the club was singing his praises all not to long ago, saying how Kadar was the most technically gifted defender at the club...

If Colo is fit.... I would orally pleasure the nearest person to me when the team sheet was announced.

Also, I would ask who should partner him? Perchinho or tamas? I can't remember why (I think from his appearances in the CC) but I sub-consciously think Kadar is a quality CB whom if he played I would have few worries about. On the other hand, Perch was matching Drogba blow for blow in the air second half on Saturday! It is a tough call but I'm gonna go out on a whim and choose Kadar. Thoughts?

Didn't Kadar have a shot from just past half way that almost went in against someone in the championship?
