I think Reform are just winging here and hoping for the best. Turnout will be low and whilst the Lab/Lib Dem?Cons all have their strongholds who will prop up their vote, if Reform can get people to vote who would normally stay home, then they have a chance. Plus they have a chance of hoovering up disgruntled voters from the others. If they'd gone with a more serious pick (I imagine they were struggling in this area) then I'd have Reform as favourites. That said, despite him being unsuitable and potentially a damaging prospect, I would not rule him out. For me, the process of voting will be as a-political as I can be (and have ever been) - we desperately need the best for the job.
Being as apolitical as I can be too - I’m increasingly concerned about the layers of politics in this country. If Luke Campbell were to win - Hull would have a Lib Dem Council, Labour MPs, Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner and a Reform Mayor. That can’t be helpful.
In my opinion the best we could have had isn't standing, as he's soon to turn 75 perhaps Alan Johnson didn't fancy it. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.

I mean I don't really see the issue. He's obviously being ironic/sarcastic and he's reacted poorly to some comment. More of the issue is how quick he lost his rag!
It overshadowed the fact two Lib Dems have defected to the Independent Group, and their majority is now down to one. One of those to defect is now on the same number of parties as 30p Lee. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
