Difference is in Spain they are night time people Don't eat until late or go out until late. Difference is they can go to those kick off times and laces are still open after midnight. Apart from Bilbao which isn’t as lively as Hull apparently. I know someone who used to spend part of the year in Valencia. He went to one game which had extra time and penalties and got of the ground after 1 am. Still found places for a bite to eat and have a few beers on the way home.
They have games which kick off at 10 their time. We would have people leaving before they arrive in this country.
I really don’t want to get into one of someone’s repetitive moans but do they realise they have a different culture mostly due to the heat in the country and play more games later in the day and at night due to this?
In Australia our most popular sporting codes (AFL and NRL) have Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday 1/2pm, Saturday 5pm, Saturday 7/8pm, Sunday 1pm, Sunday 3pm and Sunday 6pm as regular time slots.
British are all in bed at 9pm Good luck if a game kicks off at 8pm In spain games finish at 4am and they go for paella after Just a diff class
oh **** off. 1230 on a sat is a right **** of a time to get to for me, and home games are **** enough as it is!
helps that it's a lot warmer too....imagine watching a 10 o'clock match in the depths of Jan over here, be utterly Baltic!
They manage. Their life expectancy is higher than ours. Their rating on indexes for happiness and contentment is higher than ours. But there you go.
Gets fairly cold in Madrid in winter. It is the highest capital above sea level in Europe. Snows fairly regularly in Madrid in winter.
I don't doubt that, but it's not for me. Don't believe their working hours are that much different to ours either.
The lazy sods have naps /siestas in the middle of the day while on shift don’t they, that probably helps. I couldn’t do it either, up at 4:30am for work so would just be knackered at work.
You don’t seem to have much idea about what goes on in Spain. Though it is very slowly moving to our hours. Than they will be as miserable as we are.
Never claimed I did, oh knowledgable one. I’m sure it will take them a while to be as miserable as you though and moan about everything.
There's definitely been a lull during the afternoon every time I've been. Places closing for a couple of hours. What they do during that time I don't know and is entirely up to them, but it's definitely "a thing"
