Apparently Juric didn't even acknowledge the fans last night (?)

My only thought about that is that at least Rusk may be able to get the players back onside and maybe that might at least make the job less tough for the new manager. Give him a head start so to speak. Looking at the whole situation I can only see it getting worse and worse with Juric.

Yes, agreed on Rusk. I wonder if he'd want to do that though. Let's see what happens. I'm easy either way tbh.

That’s probably true but as others have said, the players do still seem be sulking.

Not surprised tbh. If I worked a job where I got loads of days off, didn't have to work hard and was told I was amazing when getting poor results then I'd probably be unhappy if all of a sudden the first 3 things changed but was still getting poor results.

All of the players can **** clean off come the Summer too as far as I'm concerned.

Rusk with Lallana assisting would be my choice. We may as well get the latter actually earning his wages.

Yeah the amount we’re paying out in wages & they’re not playing is obscene….. and before you all say <laugh>

Why would he go? It does nothing for anyone at this point. I genuinely don’t understand what people want at this point. The players don’t care ffs. It doesn’t matter who is in the dugout when the players have given up. Classic football fans just wanting things changed without any thinking as to why and what it will accomplish.

Whether the players are still sulking because their mate got the sack or because the current manager hasn't got a ****ing clue, nobody really knows but I would definitely get rid now. Let Rusk (maybe even assisted by Lallana?) have the team until the end of the season to try and restore some pride and morale. I know he's not gonna pull up any trees results-wise but this clown is getting worse by the week and the longer this goes on, the worse it's gonna get imho, and the harder the rebuild job in the summer will be.

The thing is, the mistakes Juric is making even one of us would correct to get slightly better results - even if that means only losing 2-0 rather than 4 or 5.

I have a team of people under me and I get that I am only as good as my team, but I (hope) I use them to their strengths rather than plod on getting them to do things how I would.

Yep, good management is about understanding peoples strengths / weaknesses & putting them into relevant positions to achieve the best outcome for the “business”. It can be a wide assessment & sometimes difficult decisions need to be made, which aren’t universally agreed upon for the best outcome. However, there’s no sense whatsoever to what Juric’s putting out. Personally I’d get rid & I like the idea of Rusk & Lallana but firstly; that makes SR look just stupid <laugh> & secondly, who knows what caveats there are with Juric’s contract & whether Rusk/Lallana would even want to touch such a FU.

Think you are talking generalist bollocks to be honest.

Lots of people still have pride in our club and if a different manager can instil that, to give their all, then it bodes better for next season. We can play a different strategy, formation etc.

Otherwise in your world we just rock up next season and all will be well? Of course it won’t. We simply have to offer more than we are just now, and if that means changing the manager then we simply must act.

How’s that for a starter on your classic football fan wanting things changed without thinking …

Absolutely out. New season, new manager with a genuine philosophy. Ideally a high press, high energy football.

If and when we return to the PL, that's the style I would probably most like to see.

However, the high press aspect will likely be of less importance next season because I'd expect us to be dominating most matches. But we should still be looking for high energy. Playing quickly and dominating is more far exciting than playing slowly and dominating!

And please play a back four!
