    Disappointing.

Merino isn't good enough to be starting in midfield let alone upfront.

Trossard and Odegaard continue their runs of poor form.

Thought Merino was one of our better players tbh

Overall though, it’s just more disappointment. Not enough threat in the final third. Even though we got unlucky with Califiori hitting the post.

When we’re bringing on Zinchenko, Tierney and Sterling to try and change the game, it shows you how little there is in depth in this squad.

I just want us to make sure we get top 4 now and then roll on the summer.

I said for a long time Trossard isn't performing. Better coming off the bench. Merino was never good enough in midfield and looks lost playing further forward. At times he's deeper than our midfield. Odegaard just dances around the ball without doing much. And you're right our subs aren't game changers.
We are too flacky, we give away too many soft fouls and not strong on the ball. For a team that has more possession and shots (not on target) our keeper has more touches than most outfield players.
Our football is hard to watch, so called lesser teams are more entertaining. Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and even Utd go for it while we dance with the ball.
We are a different team from 2 years ago, our style has changed, and not for the better

You cant expect the subs to be game changers. We brought on two LB's basically and a washed winger who hasn't looked good in a few years.

The squad is stretched soo thin right now. No Martinelli, Saka, Havertz or Gabriel Jesus and we were all thinking that our forward line was little thin BEFORE any of those Injuries. Crazy times.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood my comment. I had a full stop after lesser teams. Lesser teams are more entertaining i.e. Wolves, Brighton, Bournemouth and dare I say even Everton are now. I merely meant as an example the teams mentioned go for it regardless, we don't. We pass the ball to death and dance around it.

What is there to say that I haven't already said before?

I'd written us off for the title ages ago anyway, but was hoping we could see a response from the West Ham performance.

In fairness, I think we were a lot better application wise and effort wise, but again, no real penetration or cutting edge in the final third. This has been an issue all season and it was an issue yesterday too. We really do suck with no striker, though. Not saying that would solve ALL our problems, but it certainly would alleviate the pressure on our defence and midfield a bit.

However, a point away from home against our competitors for the CL, it's not a terrible result.

Considering we're likely to have 5 CL spots this season, I don't think our place in the CL next season is in jeopardy. But I do think our current league position in 2nd is in jeopardy. I can't see us getting enough points against United and Chelsea to have a comfortable enough gap over City, who now aren't that far behind us.

If we fall below the top-3, I think that would be pretty disastrous tbh. We should at least have some pride and play for as many points as we can. I don't want us to just wilt like a dead flower.
