I would have put him in charge in December, not because we hate him, but I think he gets football. Seems like he has been sidelined too, despite leaving us I think he cares which seems to be a rare commodity
I'm 100% convinced the players are telling the club to **** off. They're still smarting because their best mate got sacked so they're doing **** all until they get their move
It wasn't hard to see that we didn't have the players for the league but being honest I still felt that RM needed to go by the end. I caved as hard as everyone else in the face of his blindness. Now its Juric struggling with Downes giving goals for free and manning having the workrate and intelligence of a pub footballer.
I reckon we would have picked up more points. I don't think Juric has got the dressing roon onside. At least Martin had that.
Terrible appointment in the first place. Why we went for a guy with a combatative personality with clearly such a delicate squad is just mental. Sports Republic clearly had, pre organisation for sure, massive hard ons for 'brand managers'. Dragan clearly sees the need to actually just win a game and reorganised the entire structure, but it was obviously too late for this year. I think we will go for a manager who has an element of flexibility to their management style next. We should definitely get rid. At present I can't see us getting 3 extra points. But with someone not so insanely stubborn we could pick up more than that for sure. There are definitely points up for grabs in our remaining fixtures, Ivan is not the man to get them.
It was correct to get rid of We were right to get rid ,however we assumed SR would appoint a pragmatic replacement. Their track record is woeful. Their best manager they inherited ( and he was jaded)
The players are mostly all crap, I understand that. But playing Aribo and Bree at CB is just inexcusable. Players make mistakes at the best of times, but Aribo looks absolutely lost. Getting run ragged by the Chelsea attackers, and the fact they scored twice from set pieces shows that the one-CB experiment isn't working.
I’ve actually seen better coached and tactically superior teams, when I used to coach my son’s team from U12’s to U16’s.
Yeah, I mean our first three choices were Moyes, Potter and Rohl. There’s first two said no, and Rohl was tricky (I’m glad it didn’t happen now actually). I guess they then said “well the geezer that Rasmus rates is going free, shall we just give him a crack”. Which is another nail in the “never listen to Danish Jesus” coffin.
Rohl would have been worth the outlay if we sacked Martin earlier. I think even the board knew it was too late as they were happy to wait and hire Rohl when we go down
Agreed but that still doesn’t mean we should have kept in. Just because they’ve somehow found someone even worse, doesn’t mean sacking him was the wrong call. They just should have chosen someone that wasn’t a complete cretin
The manner of Russ’ sacking just paints the club in a terrible light too. Sacked not even half hour after a game on a Sunday night. I wanted him gone but I assumed when they’d do it that they would have done it with respect for a man who got us promoted. Instead it sounds like they sacked him on a whim and informed him before the match and then sent him out to rot before sacking him immediately after possibly the worst match of the season. Just goes to show any potential new manager that you can get us promoted and we will still treat you like ****. Absolutely nothing about Russ’ sacking, the interim or Juric’s appointment indicates there was a plan in place for a smooth transition. It is genuinely like they were worried about fan reaction so quickly sacked him and scrambled for a replacement. Juric has been crap but he’s an older manager who was out of a job who only knows one style. We are getting exactly what they agreed to sign up. Juric would have told them how he’d play and they were happy with that and thought he was the right man, which tells you everything as he so blatantly isn’t.
I am far from convinced that we end up with Rohl. He will probably get an offer from Bundesliga, or we will overlook him for someone going free or we will try to persist with Juric or Rusk.
I certainly don't think we'll overlook him. We really rate him. Now ****ersen isn't having a say I'd say we will go for him in the summer.
SR picked him & he was high on their list for a long while. Someone may say “but that was the old SR & now we have a new SR”. He’s a fraud, end of. Get him out.
