After renting for the best part of 9 years I am now a homeowner!!! <party>

The downside you may ask, move in the day after the Man Utd game at SJP. Hangover and moving home, not a good mix!!!

Had to have a large deposit to get anywhere mate but it is a buyers market. Got a house valued at £97k for £93k so done pretty well.

My rent is £500 a month,my mortgage is going to be £370 inc all insurances for a bigger house. Madness!!!

    Seriously...that's fantastic news, well done.

I remember when me and the missus got our first house back in 1975. I think it cost £9,500 and I used to worry like hell how we'd find £49.00 a month for the mortgage.

    Cheers <ok>

I need time to enjoy my play room/pub first before kids are on the agenda. Our best mates are expecting any day now though so that might put the pressure on!!! <laugh>

Excellent - enjoy the new house !
We sold ours last year and have gone into a rental. Been looking around for another house to buy but there's f*ck all around at the moment. Cant wait to buy another one but as prices don't look like they're moving upwards for the forseeable we'll keep the powder dry for now...
