That's what I was thinking when I saw those results, although Bristol City moved up on 34 games (as are Sheff Wed), Boro on 33, as are we, with hopefully 3 pts at Pompey to move us up (in a perfect world that is!).
Bromley 2 Harrogate 0 I always feel a bit dodgy this far south east in London and today was no exception. An unpleasant area, odd and unfriendly ground (the cops were the best thing about it, very funny when they learned we were just idiots having a laugh) dire football, miles of suburban nothing between pubs. I would be much more forgiving if this had been an experience outside the UK. The Partridge was a decent post match boozer, very good pies.
The social club thing they have at the ground was very good I thought. Junk food kind of food but decent enough and a proper bar, screens etc. It was busier than the stands.
Watching MOTD for the first time in months. I stopped watching it because VAR had ruined the game. Nothing has changed. Much as I'd like to see Rangers back in the PL, I'd hate to be at an Rs game where VAR was in operation.
We could only get tickets with away fans (good turnout and much louder than locals) and they didn’t let us in to the big bar. ****ers.
But as you said about Ashley Young's dive, it does mean we get the correct decisions. I think VAR should be quicker, but I'm happy to wait 30 seconds rather than a game be lost by a cheating prick.
It's sometimes three or four minutes, though. I'd rather accept the odd wrong decision. As for the Young incident, he did dive, but there were also two tugs on his shirt. The ref's decision wasn't a clear and obvious error and VAR had no right to get involved.
To be honest, watching it live I thought it was an obvious Penalty . If it wasn't Ashley Young I may still think it was a penalty VAR needs to improve, especially the time taken. I do however like seeing correct decisions.
Liverpool looking ruthless against Citeh who despite dominating possession aren't that threatening. Seems it could be done and dusted today...
Hopefully, yes So Sheff United's go ahead goal was a goalie og palmed into his net. We need that kind of Leeds grit to turn around away games with late late goals after we go behind.
Media love in with Massive in full swing..... Beeb even have a poll running as to how will Leeds do in the Premier League next season..... Wouldn't it be funny if they fell apart again.....
