<peacedove>After seeing off the champion we have Newcastle at home. To keep the momentum going we need to win this game. Newcastle have got got Alexandria Isak who is going to be a key player in this game and we must watch out for him. Arsenal our closest rival are away to Nottingham Forest on the same date. Perhaps Forest can add more mystery to Arsenal's title hope.

Referee has been appointed for this game, he is Chris Cavanagh

    Imo just match arsenal.

This is going to be tough but Newcastle has a chasing of their own too.

In energy terms we have saved gakpo and Jota for this one and I'd be happy to see both start.

Midfield for me is a major issue. We are going to be quite tired going into this

    Alisson
    Trent konate vvd tsimikas
    Gravenberch macallister
    Sala szoboszlai gakpo
    Jota

Send on diaz and Jones on 60 mins and endo for macallister on 75 or whatever.

Quansah for trent then as final sub.

This is the last really hard game for a while and imo it will be physical with Newcastle desperate for points for cl qualification but also to set a marker for thr league cup.

Isak looks half fit to me at times.

    They don't track runs well.

Let's get through job done and lay down our own marker for the cup final.

This kicks off 45mins after arsenal so we will know how that game is going and at ht will know their result.

If arsenal deign to lose I'd start subbing off tired legs for anyone fit to go for psg even if losing.

Worse case is gap narrows to 8
Best case gap widens to 14
Most likely gap stays as is and arsenal have one less game to catch us.

Newcastle will be wanting to see Darwin perform since they're swapping him for Isak in the summer. :bandit:

Realistically, expecting Arsenal to drop points at least once in their final games... We need five wins from our remaining fixtures... Let's see if one can be Newcastle. Good team but we're at home... Let's start the countdown from five. If we lose, the window narrows slightly. So I think Slot should tell the team to win.

Yeah Szob was face down on the floor at FT and then said he was absolutely knackered in his post match interview, we do have the weekend off so we'll see what the thinking is

Even before the City game I had this pegged as the more difficult game of the two. Newcastle on their day can beat anyone, and are capable of dominating the midfield if they press as well as they did in the reverse game.

We scored 3 clinical goals against them last time and, if we're as or more clinical this time then we should win.

Win the 7 home games and draw the five away matches and it's job done. Leaves us on 87pts. Arsenal would only be able to get a maximum of 86pts.

    7 wins period

    64+21 = 85.

L'arse can get 89 still but no chance. Thry have 12 to go and would do very very well to get 9-3-0 record which is 83 points.

Every dropped point for captain black is a knife to his mysteron heart.

You're just giving the team more incentive to win

We looked out on our feet tbh.

Fully expecting tsimikas in at lb amd jota and gakpo up top.

It's Szoboszlai jones macallister and gravenberch that's the issue. He won't start endo so we will have to see how they are.

There's no incentive required it's simply become as sure as eggs is eggs.

Dude I have been pessimistic since I can remember
    Our legs have gone
Now it’s just can we crawl over the line

someone said win our seven home games but one is against Arsenal so if they win it we have issues

I think you guys will draw at Anfield and turn us over in the CC

No mate it's done. Look at the fixtures after Newcastle.

Salah with haul them over the line on his own.

Look at arsenal heads drop. They play a half before us Wednesday and I think the certainly won't score 4 off forest.

Yes, but if you're making an omelette you don't want snail eggs.

    Or fish eggs.

I'm fairly sure you don't want fish eggs either.

Depends on the species. All land snails do. Some aquatic snaiils such as Melania give live birth to clones of themselves (yes Trump's wife is named after a self cloning pond snail... Considered a pest in the aquarium community)
