Can **** off as far as I'm concerned. Or at least a fairly sizeable minority can. Spoilt, entitled, clueless, ignorant arseholes.

I know this will get people's backs up, 'fans fault klaxon' etc but we've just lost for the first time at home in the league all season and it's nearly March, we're a team full of young, exciting talent that give their all for the shirt in every single minute, they've already surpassed just about everyone's expectations for the season, hanging on the coat tails of three teams who have the most monstrously disproportionate resources at their disposal and we're a mile ahead of everyone else. There's still a very realistic possibility that they get promoted this season.

    And yet....

We have 'fans' booing this same team off at half time, at full time and in every recent game we've drawn (not even ****ing lost!), we have sarcastic cheers for our goalkeeper who has barely made a major error all season, we have moans, groans and people getting on the players back at the slightest mistake, we have hordes streaming out the exits when things aren't going our way...etc etc

I won't even get started on a sizeable proportion of our online fanbase...

I wouldn’t boo my own team but I understand the frustrations of fans to be honest. Did you see a team that are supposedly chasing automatics giving it everything today? Because I certainly didn’t. We’ve been nicking points here and there, plastering the cracks of some bad performances but there’s been signs for a while now and nothing has changed. Look at Leeds when they were chasing the game they against us they were relentless compared to us today. Totally toothless, changed nothing tactically really it was the same ****e all afternoon and we had decent players on the bench. How many times can the same players be ****e and know their place in the team is safe?

I’m sick of fans blaming A) the referee, B) the opposing team for ****housing or C) the opposing team for apparently trying harder against us.

I'd never boo but that was all wrong today. Our mentality at home seems so off at the minute, we seem incapable of taking the game be the scruff of the neck right from the start and get stuck in this pattern of sitting off teams. That first 60 mins or so we were so pedestrian on the ball its a joke, players taking 4 and 5 touches before moving the ball, and then at times next to zero movement for the player on the ball. We're better than that.

Fan need something to get behind, we didn't get anything today.

Yeah this is fair like. Yes undefeated but a **** loads of draws against poor teams. We have been a bit flat at home for a good few games. Plymouth, Watford, Hull. All in recent games.

I think alot of the fans know that our squad is super talented. Everyone on here says they wouldn't swap nearly any other player for any of ours. If that's true, then the expectations need to reflect that and met. We will finish play offs. That's not exceeding nowt, the club and and squad is absolutely at that level at a minimum. I reckon KS would not think that RLB has exceeded expectations when we finish play offs. Will be acceptable and nothing more. We were gash today so there are going to be lots of grumbles and complains.

For me when you have 44k there that's fantastic support. If ironic cheers are worrying people then maybe the player needs to step it up and live up to the expectations.

Disappointing to see there’s as many condoning the booing of this team after the season they’ve had (and are having) as there are condemning it on here.

Our fans are pretty iffy. Have been for years and years. Known for leaving early, getting on the back of the team and chasing managers out of the club.

Very passionate, very emotional fanbase that lacks patience or long term thinking.

Unfortunately we have had so little to be excited about for so long thay I don't think we know how to be excited when things are still looking up. It's a shame.

I’ve never booed our lads in the stadium, in 37 years off attendance.

I do understand the frustrations, I just don’t applaud at the end and walk out bang on the whistle, for me that’s enough.

I can’t wrap my head around ‘playoffs was an expectation’ mind. Was it? ****ing wasn’t for me was a hope.

We went in to the season with a young team, with doubts over Clarke and little faith in replacements, with folk still doubting Jobe, saying Dan wasn’t a captain.

We had a chance of playoffs. Us and 8-10 other teams. We never expected to compete with the top 3 until we started so well and looked like we could. A lot have conveniently forgotten that to have a pop.

We have absolutely overachieved. Many had Boro and Coventry above us. Some West Brom. Before we played Sheff Wed, and jumped them 4-0, that was a ‘massive game cos they likely be playoffs’.

Yes, the drop off, and it is a drop of that’s lasted 4-6 weeks now, is disappointing, but if we manage the squad correctly and recharge, we will be in with a massive shout to win playoffs.

On our day, we will beat anyone in this league. Managing that fatigue is massive now and that is Reg job.

The abuse of Mundle is a disgrace I would love to find the little **** that’s done that. Several of our top players aren’t white and that’s something we should embrace and be proud of.

A read of the comments on any club post on Facebook, Insta, X or anywhere shows you exactly where this minority sit. Sometimes it’s utterly horrific.

I don’t get to many away games now, but the absolute joy, unconditional love and support when you do is utterly beautiful.

If it’s gone wrong, it’s discussed on the return journey, in a ‘how can we do better’ way, not a ‘he’s **** that’s ****’ way.

You know, the same way you succeed in every day life, ‘what can I do better’.

To do better, in any walk of life, having backing, support and faith makes it easier. If people tell you you are ****, you’ll retreat.

Crowds are down, atmosphere has dropped, and that vibe we had last season is creeping back in.

I agree wholly with the thread, even if I agree that things are far from rosey at minute.

We need to get away from the engrained expectation of failure which has been grown after 10 years of dross, we are in a growth stage. Things go wrong during growth it’s how you learn.

We’ve lost 6 of 34. We need some context, we need some realism, and we need to lift the lads.

Yesterday was pretty awful. However the modern football fan is thick as ****. A toxic combination of impatience, entitlement, stupidity and tantrums. We’re seeing it all over the country these days so at least our fans aren’t the only ones embarrassing themselves.

    Sadly true.

You can see all of those elements, on here, after any bad result …

… people stating the blindingly obvious very loudly over and over as if only they know the answer.

“If we’d signed much better players, and cover in all positions, we’d probably be doing better’.

    Well you don’t say …

… the answer was so obvious but only you spotted it when the club didn’t <doh>

I think a lot of people have forgotten the meaning of the word 'supporter'

I was shocked at the level of booing yesterday. It reflects badly on our club and will undoubtedly have an adverse effect on our youngsters.

CanI just say that while I have never booed the team in my time (many years) it is not just our Fans.

This year I have heard Arsenal booed, Mags booed, Sheff Utd booed etc. Modern day approach is if you don't win you are automatically ****.

However we cannot avoid the fact we were poor yesterday and have had some poor performances at home of late.

Only reason we've kept Jobe as long as we have is he likes the fans.

Would be very sad if people start leaving more quickly than we want them to and at lower prices than we can get for them.

Not one of those booing will have expected us to stay in touch with the top 3 for so long. Absolute ****ers.
