And yet the match stats i saw posted on Twitter would suggest that Bayern had a lot more chances and a lot more possession.

I've read most of the Reacher books and I really can't remember these plotlines

 

They had most possession but most of it was safe possession

They had more chances and shots but majority where off target , poor efforts

Bayern are not a great team but have good (and in some cases , top quality ) individuals.

Celtic played really well and deserved to take it to extra time . Missing the extra quality required to take it to be at that level.
