You don't even have to go to another country, just a few hundred yards up the High St to another fast food joint
I did try explaining this to Sucky. Businesses will respond to their local clientele's tastes and preferences, that's how they make more money. That's why some Sainsbury's and Tesco stores sell Kosher and Halal products. That doesn't suit the racist twitter nobheads narrative that it's the Caliphate taking over though.
Kosher McDonalds in Buenos Aires One section of town known as “the Jerusalem of Argentina,” you’ll find a unique McDonald’s. Two Jewish brothers, decided they wanted to offer a product that would attract families from the surrounding area’s large Jewish community. Indeed, I was told there are 30-40 synagogues within walking distance of the Abasto Mall. https://danfellner.com/2019/12/26/buenos-aires-kosher-mcdonalds/#:~:text=Abasto was converted into a,surrounding area's large Jewish community.
Fairly sure KFC switched to all halal. It’s just an obvious business decision when your supply chain is far simpler not having a mix and you open yourself up to however many consumers are strictly halal. Probably marginally more expensive but the economy of scale outweighs that. So if you’ve got a burger shop where a large chunk of the potential clientele keep halal then it’s perfectly logical to risk losing a tiny number of customers to gain more elsewhere. Or, in short, who the **** cares?
Bare Jews in Argentina. Only Israel, America, us, France and I think Canada have more. I should probably know how that came to happen but cba looking it up.
I wonder if Sucky has watched this one yet, even the Russian mafia advocate reading the Quran, comes with a Sucky trigger warning obviously.
lol yeah I did bring that up too. tbf that was the one and only time I’ve ever been asked for bubblegum ice cream so no, I won’t be going Halal just yet
Who eat halal meat regularly without knowing it and life hasn’t been affected whatsoever. I think it’s fair enough to clearly advertise it in-store as one could argue against the method of killing on moral grounds (not a lot more immoral than a bolt to the head but whatevs). Then people can make an adult decision about where to eat their important burger.
Exactly. It doesn’t affect anybody’s life if you’re not actively seeking out Halal or kosher products, but as you’ll know for some people this is important. Business responding to customer choice is the non story of the century unless you’re Tommy Suckinson
Not sure whether this is spoof or not - but Five Guys hot dogs (to my knowledge) are beef - just the same as the burgers
No worries - you do make sense sometimes... Personally I'd prefer my meat to have come via the most painless route - if there is one. It's also the case that UK butchers historically must have used methods very similar to halal slaughtering ...
If anyone is concerned about the methods used they should become vegetarian, and don't forget the milk that's added to your tea, results in some calves being surplus to requirements and culled.
