I was just disappointed. I didn't panic. However, we do need to up the ante and really rip into therest of the December fixtures. I don't want to be buying Swarbs a pint
A few do, not all. We are all down but some really get stuck in, forgetting that it's less than a year since we had Hodgson and his cohorts....it's the lack of perspective that pisses me off, I mean, show me a team that has gone from where we were last year, to top 4 or higher in less than one year. That said, I'd rather them be too optimistic than pessimistic; we should always strive for the best.
To be honest, I'm getting fed up of the accusations of panicking or doom-mongering aimed at anybody who doesn't say everything is rosy. The fact is, if we're honest, we're not doing as well as any of us had hoped and we're facing up to that and analyzing it- that's all. We're all still 100% behind the team.
Have everyone forgotten about past seasons? Spurs always starts fantastic, but then they have a couple of injuries and then they start drawing simple games at home. Wait till Lennon/Bale/Modric pick up a injury and see what happens, it always does. Even the season they did reach 4th they had that sort of season, they were just lucky Liverpool and Man City had the same sort of season. Their squad is really thin, they have no other decent wingers to cause any trouble on the bench, Piennar is awful. Strike force take about 8 chances to score it's just their wingers are playing amazing at the moment that they keep having chance after chance. Arsenal, once Van Persie gets injuired, they'll slip. Arsene will see his team now and not think they will need any new players in January and they'll burn out by March, again, as of late this always happens. Man u, they're playing god awful, if they think their safe themselves they need to re-watch their own performances, could easily slip out of the top 4. This season, apart from Spurs, i haven't watched a match and thought 'we played awful and deserved to lose/draw.' Every game we have had chances and outplayed them, but our poor finishing and poor decisions giving too us have people thinking we haven't played well, which is the opposite. Goals will come as we create the chances, we scored against Fulham, but the linesman gave the incorrect decision against us, it happens, we move on. We are Liverpool, we will succeed.
Top album, by the way. We're hoping for a lot of that to be the case. I'm not sure it will be, sadly. Basel may dish up a pleasant surprise tonight, though.
Nobody could argue with this. It's the output from the analysis that divides opinions......enough said.
Exactly this ^^ everything isn't rosy and we shouldn't expect it to be yet....as fans we enjoy the wins and some go overboard with the praise, likewise some can be over critical when we lose....people should only truly judge the season after the final game is played but we're still going to want to discuss it in the meantime...it's what the forum is for surely
