100%, always comes down to recruitment - always helps when you have money but then again look how much United have spent last few yrs and they are shocking now
I would hope so, teams would end up getting parachute money even if they got straight back into the PL at the first attempt. Mind you, it wouldn't suprise me. Teams like Norwich and WBA seem to have made a fortune from it.
The parachute money is to help financially when out the PL so Leicester won't be getting any - they'll obviously be getting loads for being in the PL
Private joke mate ... ... he 'liked' a post I made but I'd posted on the wrong thread. So I edited it and insulted him on a post he'd liked. A bit childish but it made me laugh
Once again Burnley have looked bang average other than their goal from Edwards who looks a top player against the run of play. Burnley are a horrible team, constantly moaning to the ref. I really hope they feck it up this season. Horrible horrible team
Equals Roberts' open play goal tally over the last 2 seasons within his first 80 minutes of championship football. Scored in the FA Cup also. Feel like i'm kicking him while he's down now but we simply need more goals from the wide positions. Right wing is the only position I think we are weak.
Agree, Roberts still has some really strong performances - thought he was class against Luton He just isn't a goal threat at all, we have 2 great options on the Left and just feel we are lacking on the right All wingers are inconsistent at championship level but feel Roberts is poor more often than he's good
I've never understood why Leicester make such a big deal about being 'The Foxes' tbh with the hunting horn, etc. In hunting the fox is chased down, cornered and ripped to shreds in excruciating agony ... ... much like what is happening tonight
True but effectiveness is effectiveness. They are **** to watch. Our defence is also poor to be fair. We ship too many goals to be serious contenders.
I wouldn't say our defence is poor like, 4th best in the league. I just think we lack concentration as a team at times, wouldn't say we are poor Burnley's defence is unique, never seen the likes before - Jose's Chelsea team were like that in the PL but that's the only other team I can think of with a defensive record as impressive
FFS, even on a night Sunderland aren't playing and on a thread about other games ... ... our own supporters are coming on to have a pop at the club. It's f*cking relentless and really tedious tbh ... is there no escape? There'll be people like this, at the game tomorrow, who just can't wait for something to moan about
Why would it not be what matters? Football is about entertainment that's why we love it, f**k watching anti football every week just because it gets some results Football should be fun to watch, should bring excitement to those watching. This whole its all about the PL and it's money is what is ruining Football. The fact some people said they would rather we get the PL than win a cup is crazy to me. Yes I want to see Sunderland playing the best teams in the country but I also want to see enjoyable football This season and the 1 under Mowbray were better than out last 5/6 yrs in the PL
Fair enough. I don't think that our defence is poor, just perhaps not as good as others. It's a balance between attack and defence. I'd rather lose a game by trying to win it than grind out 0.0 draws. One win, one defeat better than two draws.
