I'm pretty sure with most wars it's difficult to tell precisously how many people have died and chances are that that groups like Hamas will lie, as much as I'm sure the IDF lie, or Putin lies it's all about propaganda. I'm sure the Brits probably told a few lies as well during WW2. I'm not really sure why you think Gaza would be any different, afterall Israel itself called it a war. You seem to have become very irrational today, has someone hacked your account?
No I just find it hilarious that people (and legacy media) will accept and report everything the Hamas Ministry of Health says as absolute gospel, yet they are somehow totally unfazed when that same ministry screws up the ID of a single body.
War is **** mate, you can't trust no one on anything. Hamas will say Israel blew up a hospital and Israel will say Hamas blew themselves up. As for Hamas ministry screwing up over identity, well you flattened the place mate, I even wondered how they refrigerate the dead bodies, yet managed to hide them out of sight. I was thinking with yesterdays dead hostage releases, I wonder how they get them back, are they still intact bodies or just bits in a box. Imagine having to open that coffin and see someones face blown off - do people not understand the consequences of war and the damage that bombs do. This isn't science fiction now, this is real totally repulsive evil war....this is why I condemn the fight in Ukraine the way I do, people treated like human garbage. Sorry mate I can't identify or count the number of dead until I stitch all the body parts back together again, that's what happens when humans create war. Oh hang on, I got a leg leftover here, who's that.
So when the Hamas Ministry of Health tells us that 48,291 Gazans have been killed. Should we believe that blindly, or should we consider the points and questions you've raised? I'm playing devil's advocate here btw as I know you're not one of the posters who has treated Hamas propaganda like gospel since day 1.
I've already given you the answer to that question bro. Because of the nature of war and propaganda ALL sides will give you different numbers. It's like Ukranian and Russian claims into dead and injured. If Ukranians can make the Russian death toll high(er) then it sells better in the media as though they are making progress in holding the front line. If Hamas can claim thousands of people died, the figures can be used to get world condemnation, all tactics that work - that's not saying Hamas is lying, that's me saying we can't know the truth or if we will ever know the truth, and if you can throw in a hospital or refugee camp attacked, it stokes the rage up even more, and the cash flows in quicker for any charity causes...I'm using those two words loosely. When you take all the death in Gaza and then those in the Ukraine war, there aint a big enough fridge to keep all the bodies in, let alone the impossible task of storing those freezers and hiding their location, and even getting them to the location of a freezer, the best you can do is quickly dig a hole and stuff them in it, before the body decomposes, often in mass graves. This is why I want all this madness to stop....but history or something I'm told...so carry on regardless.
Sounds plausible - apart from the fact that the Health Ministry was counting Gazan bodies at Hospitals and as they were being buried ... sure there are plenty of bodies under rubble from Airstrikes still to be formally identified ... still, as you concede ... you 'imagine' ...
.Nothing hilarious for me - the IDF have restricted reporting (surprise surprise) but most independent sources have commented that, if anything, the Health Ministry numbers are likely underestimating the true number of deaths ...
The Palestinian death toll from the war in Gaza could be substantially higher than official figures reported by the Hamas-run health ministry, research published in The Lancet medical journal suggests. The UK-led study covered the first nine months of the war, external, which began when Hamas gunmen attacked Israel on 7 October 2023. It used data from the ministry, an online survey of relatives reporting fatalities, and obituaries. It estimated that up until 30 June 2024, 64,260 Palestinians died from traumatic injury, meaning an under-reporting of deaths by 41%. The team behind the latest study used a statistical method called "capture-recapture", a technique which has been used to evaluate deaths in other conflicts. The report in The Lancet estimated a death toll between 55,298–78,525 people, compared to 37,877 reported by the health ministry. The research also said 59% of those killed for whom data on sex and age was available were women, children and the elderly. The health ministry says 46,006 people, most of them civilians, have been killed by the Israeli campaign. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqjvl4klzweo This underreporting of deaths from the health ministry by 41% in June 24, could mean that by the start of the ceasefire in Feb 25 the actual figure could be at least as high as 80,000
Trump has labelled The Lancet as a prescribed terrorist group ... some disingenuous sources have suggested it's Trump's personal revenge for The Lancet having doubts that his suggestion of drinking bleach and standing directly under a bright light was the optimum preventative strategy for avoiding Covid-19 ....
Of course it's all wrong, most of its probably on sample like how many people tuned in to watch X tv show or event. As for Shiri, if shes been dead for god knows how long why would they keep track of where her dead bodys been. Anyway, if she has gone missing, it's hardly the biggest mystery just as mysterious as Israel can basically down most of hezbollah in a secret operation in their walkie talkies but they couldn't see a bunch of murderous trucks coming over the border to kill and kidnap a bunch of israelies (unless netty of course planned it). I do believe plenty of people make mistakes (just see how many people die everyday in the UK through negligence etc)
Yea your name is mud bro. Anyway, i think i've actually said i think it's a mistake there as i think everyone makes mistakes. I don't think anyone has can honestly say they haven't drifted off, day dreamed, not focused on a task at hand, calculated something wrong etc etc.
Ha yeah I know lol It's almost probably a mistake, an oversight, confusion, mix up, whatever you want to call it. As has been mentioned already, the chaos of war in Gaza with the place flattened, dead bodies all over the shop, hostages likely moved around to different places, bodies too and in what unimaginable state they would be in after a year, it's no surprise that mistakes can be made Somebody is probably checking this right now and going through the morgue trying to find her (if her body is still intact and able to be located) so that they can hand her over
And there it is ! The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have said they are looking into reports that Hamas has handed the body of hostage Shiri Bibas to the Red Cross on Friday evening. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cjw20d3l4jpo
It's ****ing tragic, but it shows that Netanyahu is mouthing off when he's screaming 'Gross violation of the ceasefire' Coz we all know that **** wants war.
Tbh mate with the scenes I saw yday they should bomb the whole of Gaza and the Palestinians off the face of the earth
That was ages ago. Seeing people with thier children cheering about dead babies in coffins going past is just nah. The planet don't need people like that
