Not sure makes much difference. like a lot of politics but specifically the maga lot, it does seem like as long as the democrats aren’t happy that’s a win for them, even if trump is taking away what little benefits they get. I’d liken it a bit like football and Everton fans celebrating a defeat for their own team against Arsenal to stop lfc doing well, even if it means them getting relegated. Like a twisted, gin-soaked, shrivelled, old great aunt that you have to suffer each Christmas as she sits in an armchair complaining about everyone and everything, and only smiling when someone famous is reported to have died or a natural disaster strikes one of the multiple areas around the globe that she despises.
Most of the comments I'm seeing/hearing are "Yay! He got rid of diversity initiatives. Yay! He banned Martin Luther King Day celebrations in the military. Yay! He said transfolk arn't real, there's only two genders. Yay! He's trying to promote Christianity as the default religion. Yay! He's keeping the immigrants out!" That kind of thing. They don't care that he's raising their taxes, causing inflation to soar back up again after just a month in office, has terrible foreign policy. All they care about is he's trying to harm other races, religions, left-wingers, gender-atypical, and the disabled- who they think all have some massive benefit over them, and that makes them happy, because that makes them feel more special about being white "Christians".... because as we all know white Christians are such a persecuted group in the US.
The thing that made me laugh the most was when the church lady (sorry not religious not sure actual titles) was preaching and asked him as president to show mercy and kindness to everything… and all the maga fans were ripping into her saying how she shouldn’t be saying those kind of thing. They love to go on about how they’re Christians and all god like values but when one actually tries to show compassion they get shut down

They quite like the old testament control and harshness and most of their quotes from bible don't come from any gospel when thry start bible bashing.
