PISKIE logic: Something that could have caused scores of deaths happens in Israel, probably instigated by Hamas or another terrorist organisation: "I guess we'll have to wait for more evidence to come out." Something happens in Gaza. "Definitely Israel, absolutely no question. No need to investigate. They should be hung, drawn and quartered."
It appears one of the hostage bodies released today was not that of a hostage. Shiri Bibas has not been returned. Hopefully I've got that detail correct.
So you don't think this incident, if indeed proven to have been planted by Hamas-affiliated groups (evidence currently points to their Tulkarem Battalion which all but directly claimed responsibility on its Telegram feed), constitutes the most severe breaking of the ceasefire? Your worry is that an attack designed and intended to kill and maim literally hundreds of civilians in morning rush hour will be used by Israel as an excuse to resume military action? Sorry to be blunt, but what the actual **** would Hamas need to do in your view to be condemned as wrong and as responsible for whatever collapse of the ceasefire it results in? Nuke Tel Aviv?
Correct. The young boys Kfir (1) and Ariel (5) have been ID'd, sadly. The body of the fourth hostage returned this morning is not that of their mother, Shiri. PISKIE will of course say that this also does not constitute a breach of the ceasefire agreement, but to my mind Hamas have now taken the absolute piss once too often. It's bad enough staging these abhorrent death parades with speeches and certificate signings, it's another thing entirely to lie about a hostage return and send the wrong body back. Time to go back in and finish these scum off once and for all.
Israel Defense Forces @IDF During the identification process, it was determined that the additional body received is not that of Shiri Bibas, and no match was found for any other hostage. This is an anonymous, unidentified body. This is a violation of utmost severity by the Hamas terrorist organization, which is obligated under the agreement to return four deceased hostages. We demand that Hamas return Shiri home along with all our hostages. Note to self - nobody can shut you up on a football forum... unless brb is having one of his bad days ...
The difference is that the old 'Soviet Union' was just that ... a 'Union' very diverse, even down to language - it's break-up generated a reversion to ethnic and linguistic lines, which didn't sit well with Russia, who used to have a centralised control... if the US was to give away a state it would still speak American and act 'American' because in global historical terms the USA has only existed for a few hundred years rather than thousands...
Would me ... Hamas might put on a brave front during hostage exchanges etc ... but they are in no position to take any tangible advantage from a renewed Israeli offensive ... if you can think of one, feel free...
All of these deaths are tragic and the events that led up to their deaths, the hostage taking etc, are deplorable ... but should it turn out that these poor ****ers were all actually killed by Israeli airstrikes what then? ... not forgetting the Israeli capability to take out leaders of Hamas and other opponents in hotel rooms in other countries and by use of exploding phones etc? ...
Forensic experts have already confirmed that they were murdered shortly after being taken to Gaza, not killed in an airstrike as claimed by Hamas. I doubt you'll believe that, but thought it was worth a mention.
Forensic teams have announced that the DNA of the fourth body does not match that of Shiri Bibas, nor of any other hostage. There is widespread confusion as to who the body actually is.
You've misunderstood me mate. I was saying I wouldn't surprise me if Israel went back in should it transpire that Hamas were responsible, not that I wouldn't be surprised if it was Hamas who was responsible.
Although saying that I wouldn't be surprised there either. Would hardly be the biggest shock in the world would it.
‘If indeed to be proven’ are your salient words there. You know as well as I do that there are people on both sides who don’t want this ceasefire to last and there are people itching to resume hostilities.
Ridiculous parallel to make really. The incident in Tel Aviv could have been carried out by a small group of a few people affiliated to any group sympathetic to Palestine. Or even operating on their own And yes it’s not beyond the realms to suggest that it’s an act deliberately designed to break a fragile ceasefire. To pin it immediately on Hamas as evidence that they want to break the ceasefire is naive but it will be a narrative that some people would relish. That’s why I said we need to wait for more evidence The ‘Something that happens in Gaza’ is the mass slaughter of nearly 50,000 people and massive destruction of homes, schools, hospitals, mosques etc which is openly and clearly orchestrated by Israel using heavy mass weaponary. It’s clear as day who is responsible for that. As I’ve said, there are people on both sides who want this ceasefire to end because they do not want peace.
