I think we all want to see peace, but it has to be agreed on terms that doesn't leave one side robbed of its land and resources and left open to further attacks. Said ages ago, that Trump's 'I'll end the wars' is like the teacher who says they will end bullying, but does it by giving the bully everything that they want and telling the victim to suck it up. That doesn't solve anything.
No, you pointed out Bidens faults after you were constantly badgered about him. You didn't stop crying over Gaza for months, yet it was your mate Biden helping bomb it flat. It's a two faced mask with you. I hate Biden, Trump and Putin all equally, but I think the EU and NATO are a bunch of ****s to, constantly pointing the finger at one side and ignoring that the other side has been poking the bear is just as bad. I noticed Milk didn't come back to me about American states would not be allowed to go their own way, or the hold America has always had over Cuba to intefere in their affairs whenever they want....but, but Ukraine.
You say that, but I’ve just watched Steve Rosenberg, the BBCs Moscow correspondent, get pulled over by the police for interviewing the Russian public. And where’s the leader of the Russian opposition? Until recently that was Alexei Navalny, and he died in prison. So there’s really no comparison between life here and life in Russia, but there’s plenty of people here who’d love to take away our hard won freedoms if they ever got close to power; unfortunately for the USA, they’re about to experience that for themselves first hand under Trump.
No, you just don't read. I made that comment in Feb 24, a year ago. 4 months after the war in Gaza started. I was critical of Biden and the US approach to it all from the start.
You are pointing out extreme examples, ffs mate, we can all do that. In general, aside from any protests, the British and Russian lives are not that much different anymore. Yeah you can't piss off the state I accept that, but since whenever have you or I wanted to piss off the state lol....we just go about our lives, and in that context it's no different, it's just trying to fluff it up a bit with Navalny. Mate, we sling post office workers who had commited no crime in jail, some would have died never knowing they would be cleared - some had their lives totally ruined...all because our state allowed it to happen.
Iran carried out 974 executions in the year 2024, the highest number in decades. Hundreds of these were for simply resisting state tyranny. Personally I blame Israel.
Anyway you lot, don't think all your names have not been noted, ****s... please log in to view this image
Russia are actually the biggest supplier of arms to Iran, so you ain't far off the truth there anyway
He's not wrong though, I am a history graduate. I went on to losing trains while working in a control centre (you'll know how easy that is to do, or was before we put GPS trackers on them). That's what I did with my extended, free education (no student debt for me - even my MBA was paid for by the railway). I don't really have any more right to tell young men and women to sacrifice their lives upholding democracy and liberty, being a privileged arse-end Boomer who never bore arms in my life. But I'm not having the false history being put about at the moment that the Ukrainians are to blame for this and that Trump is somehow desperately trying to be some sort of honest broker who'll do anything for peace (not that for one moment am I saying that is brb's stance, I hasten to add). All that said, I think my viewpoint is just as valid as anybody else's on here. Btw, did anyone on here listen to Bev Turner on GB News telling Tom Tugenhat that it was actually a 'special military operation', and that Zelensky caused the war by not signing the Minsk Accords (he did)? I'd post a link, but I appreciate I'm a guest on sufferance on here, and I'll not push my luck, but here is my point - looking at an ex-sports reporter grappling with complex current affairs and falling flat on her face, could I just suggest that a little knowledge of history is not such a bad thing, even if it's just the history of the last 20 years?
