as with players I will believe the new manager has signed when he or she holds a scarf or shirt aloft
I’m told that he’s currently working in the USA - guess that means he would be cheap as he may be desperate to return to the UK and get into Management
I’m told that Gareth Davies the FD has left …. Swansea City AFC is excited to announce a restructuring of its leadership team, aimed at strengthening the club's financial, operational and strategic capabilities. The restructuring follows the news of Richard Montague joining this week as Director of Football and includes the introduction of a new Chief Operating Officer. Tom Gorringe has joined Swansea City AFC as Chief Operating Officer. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous role at Bristol Rovers, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. Tom has a reputation for demonstrating strong financial management at his previous clubs, improving the infrastructure, increasing revenues, driving the matchday experience whilst also ensuring operational efficiency. His extensive background in football will be an asset to the club. Ken Gude will assume the role of Executive Director and Company Secretary, transitioning from his previous role as Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy. His new position will allow him to further drive the club's strategic initiatives and football operations, while also liaising at the League level and coordinating with key stakeholders. Gerard Cassidy, who has been with Swansea City for a decade, has been promoted to the role of Financial Controller. Ben Greenwood, another long-serving Swansea City employee, has been promoted to Head of Football Operations and Administration. Chairman, Andy Coleman, said: “We are making changes to our leadership team to improve our performances on and off the pitch. There will always be a period of transition after a takeover, and we’ve been busy working to spot the gaps and areas that we need to improve to take this club forward.” The Club’s updated Executive Management Team will consist of Ken Gude, Tom Gorringe, Andrew Davies, Richard Morris, and Richard Montague. This restructuring is part of Swansea City AFC's ongoing commitment to building a high-performing organisation that can achieve sustainable success.
“This restructuring is part of Swansea City AFC's ongoing commitment to building a high-performing organisation that can achieve sustainable success.” What ? When ? Ongoing ???
Perhaps the restructuring has been planned from the time AC took control and is only now being done and is just a coincidence with the new DOF and sacking of LW happening at the same time? Anyway on to Saturday and hopefully 3 points....my great nephew is a mascot and is very excited...he is only 7 and is living on the other side of the bridge but loves the Swans....
My daughter was a mascot for the Leeds match back in November- she had a fantastic day - I’m sure your great nephew will love it as well.
How can a club change their director of football and head coach days after the January transfer window has shut? How can that same club sell their captain, a midfield stalwart, late in the window and fail to replace him? Seriously this boardroom is ****!.....
