I’ve been staying in Dominican Republic for past 6 weeks and although supposedly poor, it’s just pure freedom.. Rules, what rules? Very little.. I flinch at some of the things, ie 1000s of motorbikes nobody wearing helmets, pretty mayhem on the roads etc. you can pretty much do whatever you like. No or very little tax. No rates, yes you need to pay for your health when and when you need it.. The weather & beaches are stunning and it’s just so nice not to hear about all the sh!t that’s going on back home.. In a word “Freedom”.. So many expats from Canada and US whom all just had enough!!

Whoever won the election was going to be unpopular due to the complete sh!t show they inherited, so I’m not surprised by it tbh. Admittedly he hasn’t helped himself either, but only time will tell if he can turn things around or not, if he doesn’t then they will have to elect another leader, He was originally elected as Labour leader to get the Labour Party back from the brink, no one seriously expected he’d be PM one day.

Everyone gets old, I do a customer facing role, and believe me many older people are unpleasant, just like the rest of society, don’t assume older people are all the same, they aren’t .

he has tunnel vision... he thinks he in a court case ... most comments and scripts are made up for him ... just like in a court loads of minions prepare his brief ... In what way unpleasant? In my 6-7 years as a salesperson/ salesmanager/ sales training officer I came across very very very few OLDER GENERATION who could be deemed unpleasant and didnt get very much feed back from my teams to confirm they did. [ all appointments were phoned back sale or not to find how rep did and were they happy ] and about 50-60% of the clientele were over 60, in fact thinking back I dont think that of mt client base of 600 households I really came anyone who was unpleasant ... and facing them was in their safe haven their home ! THE ONLY 2 /3 THAT ACTUALLY stand out as being a bit "unfriendly" was with 1 new rep ... whose attitude was a bit aggressive and his "presentation" left a bit to be desired ... I fired him after telling him his problems Next day he turned up .. dressed smartly proper brief case .. promised to shave everyday and not every couple or so ...... .. took him back and he was my earner for yonks. ps the 2 /3 "unfriendlies" both placed business with us as they were impressed with the product but not the rep.... I explained that their feedback had helped all concerned
