We’ve been every teams’ cup final since going down to league 1! Very few times people get a result against us then again in the next game.
Not very good for fans taking their family, kids though is it. Portsmouth were absolutely cowards, targeting anyone, absolute scum behavior.
The same 'fans' who are calling for RLB's head have repeatedly criticised lack of spending and recruitment. Now all of a sudden, we've built the 2nd best team in the league and it's Reggie's fault. I'd love to know how they got from their first thought to their second thought and never realised their stupidity. It's always the same story though. They demand success and claim that their high standards makes them a real fan, not settling for "mediocrity". They expect that success to come from an owner throwing money at it because if You're not prepared to lose millions, you shouldn't own a football club. All of this is an expectation that they have every right to demand as a fan who supports the team through thick and thin (but in reality moans like **** as soon as things aren't smooth). Meanwhile, owners, staff and players who put all of their efforts, money, careers into this football club are criticised for not meeting the expectations that a fan demands based on nothing but their own feelings that they are owed something. I know that last paragraph describes elements of all of our fandom but some are really taking it to an extreme these days, probably because the bit of attention they get on social media gives them that little dopamine hit that they need so badly.
The thing is, the mags slated Mike Ashley for not spending, and “wanted their club back” when, in reality, they just wanted owners who would come in and spend £200m+ These “fans” you mention above are not that far removed from those idiots!
A bit over optimistic but 5 points defo., Burnley a win and at Sheffield and Leeds draws what a difference that would have made , even so we are having a brilliant season and for me we are playing a man short most games, and probably will be against Hull. OaU
OK, I have only seen the limited highlights, once. Should Patterson have been on those crosses? Will watch it better when I get home
The second one, thats what it looked like, still havnt watched it back again. I suppose the argument is dont let teams get into those positions
Proud of the lads but a lot to think about after that match. Leeds are very likely relegation fodder in the Premiership next season, just like Leicester this season, despite this they were able to completely hem us in for almost the entire second half, with us resorting to wayward long balls out to try and relieve pressure. If Leeds can do that to us, a mid table Premiership team would do a lot worse. I thought defensively we were great, restricted them to very little and I think if anything we were ground down by the fatigue of constant defending in the second half, for what it's worth I think we're one of the fittest teams in the league, but it's much easier, physically and mentally, to be on the attack than be on the backfoot for such a long time. These are young lads and they'll be better players than they are right now in 6 and 12 months time, this year might be a season early considering the age of some of the lads, the key next season if we're still in the Championship is keeping hold of as many players as possible, that is the only thing that could seriously hinderous from pushing for a top-2 spot next season.
Anyone else finding that Leeds fans are as bad as the mags? Bad winners to the extreme! Openly said “better side” over and over and getting stupid comments from them slagging SAFC!
i switched the game off as soon as they scored, hurled some vile abuse at the now dark screen and kept away from here...after some of the stuff i saw on social media i am glad i did. we had the first half easy, if humes shot had gone in at the start of the 2nd i am sure we would have won that, not been through the comments but that was two good teams playing a competitive game and mainly showing each other some respect, we were pretty certain it would be our hardest fixture of the season and it surely was, make no mistake they know they were in a fight. i can guess it has been done to death but i feel we needed to keep wilson on and maybe add mundle on the left and take riggy off and move ELF over...i am also hoping this new keeper coach can do something with patto, distibution and commanding his area and while i am well aware mistakes always happen, anything the lads can do to keep them to a minimum is a help, midfield had a day off as we struggled to keep the ball, hopefully we got all that out in the one game. giving my MotM to wilson, took his goal well, got back to defend when needed.
