I was at Disneyland one New Years Eve with a group of friends. Spent all day there and then they decided to leave at 11.30 to avoid the crowds leaving after the midnight fireworks. Took me a while to get my head around that. :(

Like walking out at a cinema before seeing the last 10 minutes of a film, or blocking your ears just before the punch line every time someone tells a joke! I don't get it (bar the very rare case of someone absolutely having to be somewhere else, like a work shift or an important appointment).
Only ever left early once in 50 odd years of watching .... and that was as part of the planned walkout at BP. Even that felt weird, but had to be done.

Who leaves a cinema before the end? Unless they just don't like the film...
I get annoyed with people leaving and blocking my view while the credits are still rolling!

I get pissed off the cinema when after negotiating a good seat with a good view some twat comes in late and sits in front of me. It’s as though they where watching.

Don't you have pre-assigned seats in the UK? Here you book your seat when you book your ticket.

I stop watching films/tv if I get bored of them. Stop reading books if I'm not enjoying it also... Never got through Ulysses. Used to leave the cinema early for same reason. Just found it wasn't worth my time to see it through to the end if I haven't enjoyed it so far.

Football is a bit different as supporters are an interactive part and the result isn't determined obviously. I've always been a long distance traveller, so always factor in the drive/train, so no point in leaving early.. but many times considered it.

Used to drive me nuts, those coming in after kick off, going out 5-10 minutes before halftime, then coming back a similar amount of time after the restart and finally leaving early to avoid the traffic. Whilst all the time you’re trying to watch the game and support the team and having to get up to let them past and block your view at the same time. It sounds like nothing much has changed.

There's always more ushers at our cinemas, it's ridiculous, it never happens at away cinemas.

People do want they want and you can’t do much about it, leaving early, arriving after the teams come out, some people even support another city against their own City which to me is like supporting Germany against England in a World Cup game which I don’t think would happen unless you are German. But that’s what some people are like, it’s life, everything is easier when at the top, it’s also easier supporting a top team but considering the amount of games we have won at home we don’t do bad with the crowds, yes some leave early but I suppose it’s better than not going at all although when it’s a tight game you could do with that extra push at the end. I remember going to Leeds many years ago when they were right down at the bottom end of the table and there was many empty seats. It’s human nature to support winners and if not you are a very fortunate football club if you still fill the stadium during the bad times. Like I say we haven’t done bad considering how many games or lack of goals we have seen at home. It’s quite demoralising at times and spoils many Saturday nights but next home game the hope is there again. Mentioning that let’s hope for a win on Saturday.

Win lose or draw, the Etihad is always sparse for the last 10 minutes of every match.

I was there for that game. Absolutely crap atmosphere. Were you one of those more interested in eating than getting behind the team?Went in Lower West last Saturday. A couple at least were repeatedly offering encouragement with very few joining in. Then with it at 1-1 with 10 minutes to go people started to stream out (which to be fair last 3 times I have been in West Upper they didn’t even when we were losing.
Now I know where you sit I will know where to avoid in future.
