They have been hot and cold ever since he came. Good runs and bad runs. He must be on the plank there now, even Gibson has a shorter tolerance these days.

 

Never liked him. Thought he got a lucky break when City signed him and he's lived off that.

He can finish mind, but he doesn't like to do the ugly running.

Word around the campfire is that Carrick is trying to provoke Gibson into paying him off.

Gibson is sounding out prospective replacements who could get them into the playoffs ...

... they're not a bad squad so it's possible.

Boro have sounded out Cooper, Mowbray and an ex-PL manager from what I've been told.

Although, tbh, the lad who tells me all this manager stuff cost me £500 when he told me the West Ham manager was being sacked ...

Carrick about to become the new Gary Monk. Bit of hype early in his career, fails to build on it but too arrogant to quit when things arent going his way and he's not happy at the club. If he's clinging on for a pay off it won't work out well for him in ye long term. If Boro fall away he's a busted flush and not an attractive option or he's seen as a mercenary ready to bleed a club.
