Saw fans on social media saying we should have gone for him, so pleased we didn't Hes lazy and so inconsistent, still living off his early promise in his career
They have been hot and cold ever since he came. Good runs and bad runs. He must be on the plank there now, even Gibson has a shorter tolerance these days.
Never liked him. Thought he got a lucky break when City signed him and he's lived off that. He can finish mind, but he doesn't like to do the ugly running.
TBF you were saying what a good job he was doing this time last year ... ... and that Boro were playing for him. Just from memory but it was summat like that because I disagreed at the time. But I am quite disagreeable as you know
I doubt many Boro fans* would agree, they've lost 3 more games than Preston ... ... they've lost a dozen games, four on the bounce now and beaten at home to Watford today. Carrick loves possession but it's not winning games. "Too many excuses made for Carrick for too long. We’ve averaged under 1.5 points per match for 78 matches now. And it’s been going downhill. It’s been blindingly obvious." *https://fmttmboro.com/index.php?threads/season-ended-today.66482/
Word around the campfire is that Carrick is trying to provoke Gibson into paying him off. Gibson is sounding out prospective replacements who could get them into the playoffs ... ... they're not a bad squad so it's possible.
Very entertaining game here between Juve and Inter. Plenty of chances but still 0-0 (Hope they both lose. )
Juve lead! Feel it was a must win for them if they wanna stay in the title race edit - wrong thread like
Good win for the old lady. She probably had a fiver on a home win. Edit: but yes, definitely the wrong thread
'Word around the campfire' is that Carrick wants out but not without a payoff. Boro have sounded out Cooper, Mowbray and an ex-PL manager from what I've been told. Although, tbh, the lad who tells me all this manager stuff cost me £500 when he told me the West Ham manager was being sacked ... ... then they won away at Newcastle and he got a reprieve
Carrick about to become the new Gary Monk. Bit of hype early in his career, fails to build on it but too arrogant to quit when things arent going his way and he's not happy at the club. If he's clinging on for a pay off it won't work out well for him in ye long term. If Boro fall away he's a busted flush and not an attractive option or he's seen as a mercenary ready to bleed a club.
