Man City's league form is impressive. They've only dropped 4 points all season, haven't lost a game and have a goal difference of 35. They've been thrashing teams this season. If any side has a chance of beating them I hope it's us Chelsea.

    Next Monday

    Chelsea vs Man City

    Mata vs Silva

    Sturridge vs Balotelli

    Should be an exciting game.

    confident aren't you blue!

I'll go 3-1 City, cannot see us getting a look in and with their attacking force we'll get our arses handed to us.

City will walk the league by a country mile as I predicted in July <ok>

Got a funny feeling were gunna kick their ass back to manchester, don't know why but just got a feeling were going to beat em, not looking forward to silva v bosingwa though, wish avb would just let alex and anelka play with the first team till they leave in january as we could of used alex for the city game even as i prefer brana at right back, maybe we should just go 3-4-3 <laugh>

I notice Bosingwa didn't train today either due to a muscle injury...... If his out for sunday then looks like were have to play ferreira? as our only other available defender would be bertrand?thank god for january we really need some more defenders

I can see this as a draw. Their defence is shaky under pressure so I think mata and sturridge will test their resolve. Teams in Europe have shown that City are not as unbeatable as they seem although your rear guard will have to be on top of their game. A high line will be suicide though!

I'm cautiously optimistic at this point. Could see it going either way depending on which Chelsea side decides to turn up. City's form in Europe is encouraging, though.

The other side, though, is by going out they want to make a statement in their next match and take it out on us. At least they'd be out of Europe, though.

Either way the players just need to tell themselves that this game can't affect the run of games after that, I consider Spurs away far more important than City home!

True. London derbies always have that extra something to them, and they haven't gone all that well for us so far. That ship needs righting.

I go for a score draw - last two games have been encouraging and I think (touch wood) that AVB has seen the light as far as the "high line" concerned; the Arsenal game has shown us what happens when experimentation has gone too far - we try that tactic against City and Mancini will be enforcing the follow-on. It was noticeable that we were defending in depth against Valencia and hitting them on the counter - similar tactics against City will be rewarding... we have to play it tight.

Chelsea's good form will continue with a win against Man City. I remember seeing fans saying that City would thrash luckypool, but they flopped. I expect the same thing to happen again except, unlike the scousers, we will WIN

I see AVB is considering playing Lamps, who like all Blues have great respect for, but is this the right game for it? OK bring him on as a sub if necessary, but Romeu , Mireiles and Ramires are gelling perfectly! I would hate to see Lamps do a Tevez if he doen't get selected though!

I say keep him on the bench, if nothing it will make him a little keener to do better. <ok>
