No we weren't ... we were as awful as any United team since SAF jumped ... and given the relative budgets - that's about as damning as it gets ... under Cooper we might have been an 'Everton' but who the **** in their right mind wants that? - survived again boys - polish the **** out of that ****er <doh>

Ruud would never lose 7 in a row in the league like Cooper………

Limited fans and a little kick about to test out Everton's new ground.

Wigan's Harrison Rimmer - a boyhood Liverpool fan no less - made himself a quiz question for years to come by scoring the first goal at the new stadium. He made the most of the occasion by holding up six fingers, referring to Liverpool's six Champions League titles.

****ing state, celebrating it like a cup final :emoticon-0105-wink:

watched the buildup in the live stream, then switched it back on about 70 mins to see it was 0-2….nothing changes.
Don’t know anyone who was at the game to see what they think of the place.

<laugh> ... you are so fixated on merely surviving in the Prem, no matter how dire the football is ... each to their own - really pleased to see the back of Cooper ... and really don't care if it costs us a relegation ... RvN hasn't been getting the results (with Cooper's squad) but we've been much more competitive against the better teams ...

If that's what makes your day worth it ... you really do have to get out more ...

'Reputation' with a bunch of strangers on a football forum? ... have a word with yourself ...

I come on here to give and take some footie flak and for some more serious non footie debate on subjects I find of interest...

... ain't no deeper ... muppet <laugh>
You have a really fragile ego<laugh>

Yeah looks good.

Saw a short vid on the BBC footie website, but just aerial shots

Will look forward to seeing the first televised games.

Yeah the new Everton stadium looks class, stands look incredibly steep.

Shame I won't be visiting for a while.

Could be a bit of a renaissance for Everton. Moyes seems to have steadied the ship, and if they can build on it, they'll go into next season in the new stadium with a renewed sense of vigour.

Moyes did really well during his first term there, and already just a month into the job he's lifted them above Utd lol
