The Club has been moving in the right direction for all of seven or eight weeks. Doubtless there will be claims that this progress is the fruit of long laid plans and good work behind the scenes, that ungrateful fans should appreciate. But then the same logic does not seem to apply when it comes to year upon year of failure and decline. Including our worst season in 98 years, on the watch of the current SMT. Not seemingly the fruit of anything dodgy, just one of those things that 'entitled' supporters should suck up. Must admit though I had to smile at the protesting Spurs and Leicester fans this weekend. And we thought we had it bad That's what you get Mr Levy, for helping to deliver that shiny new stadium.

Deloitte’s latest figures show that Tottenham are the 9th richest club in Europe. The problem for Spurs fans is that Levy only spends 42% of their turnover on player wages, the lowest by far in the elite bracket. That means that they only attract second tier players, hence their lack of on field success. What is all the more galling for Spurs fans is Levy pays himself the highest CEO salary in the Premier league - £3.8m a year.
