Got slaughtered for saying his all round play is better than both Haaland and Isak but I stand by it. Might not be as good in terms of an all out 9 and hitting the back of the net but as a false 9 he is incredible, his link up play is world class and he’s having to do it in such a poor squad. He’d be class at Liverpool as their replacement for Firminho playing through the middle but dropping deep.
Worrying that, although I think they’re underperforming this season, this Wolves team are 4th bottom and they would absolutely destroy Leeds, Burnley, Us, Sheff Utd. They’ll survive comfortably imo. Makes me think it’s important to go up ASAP because in a few years time that gap is going to be even bigger so the sooner we get the PL money the better.
No doubt about it. They beat Burnley in the cup, think it’s the only side to score 2+ against them all season
Wolves have been good all season, such a false position. Just missed so many chances and been unlucky. They will pull away.
I was thinking about this just before. Presuming Wolves stay up I can see them spending a bit and putting themselves in a better position next season and when you look at the teams above them currently I just don't see any of them particularly struggling next season, only 4 teams have really struggled this season. The gap is so big.
It'll likely take a relegation or 2 before we become an established pl team All down to recruitment, I like that we focus on younger players as they are more likely to progress and step up with us
You'd be banking on a team like Palace selling and recruiting badly, even then they have a very solid core
Aye bottoms 3 going to be a long way short of Wolves I reckon, 7-8 points. Southampton are absolute garbage, Ipswich have had a good go to be fair just haven’t got balance, and Leicester just a mess of a club right now. It’s a hard gap to bridge, but plenty have bridged it.
It is, but I still believe if we were smart with our recruitment we would stand a chance A lot of teams that get promoted are just full of championship calibre only players, with us i do feel we have quite a few that could step up (if we were to go up this season)
The mid to lower mid table clubs in the PL are getting so good at recruitment and future planning. There is always a club you don't particularly expect to struggle who end up in a fight though, Wolves this season. I trust our club to get it right and even if they don't I trust it won't be through lack of trying or straying away from the model
