The war is finished in Afghan and Syria. The asylum seekers should voluntarily return home, now. If not they should be looking to send them back by force. You open your doors to these people when the countries are at war but it should only be temporary. They live differently to the west and have seen a lot of violence. It’s **** all to them, life doesn’t seem as valued to these people as it does to us. It’s no wonder that all of Europe is rising up against it. The Turkish people are doing the same in Türkiye, they want all the Syrians sent home now. It’s pretty much every country in Europe where the people have had enough, apart from a few crazed lefties who are using their last breaths on this issue to continue shouting RACISM.
Why you all banging on about America? What do them ****s have to do with the UK and our way of life? I could walk into the centre of Newcastle tomorrow and set fire to a bible. Nobody would say anything to me, they’d just look at me like I’m a ***** and a bit of a freak. Don’t care if things would play out differently in the US, that ain’t my country.
This is the main point and should apply to Somalies too. I worked with an African lad a few years back (Nigel) who i jokingly called "Nigerian Nigel" which always brought the reply D i am from Ghana (my reply..same place it's all Africa) Always got a laugh. Main point is he lived in Rochdale and one morning he told me it took him over 30mins longer to get home the night before Convo Why's that Nigel? Because there was a group of Somalians standing in the road i normally walk down so i had to make a big detour. How did you know the were Somalians? D when you are from Africa you know Somalies when you see them. It stuinned me TBH.
In reality it's a book and not even the original. There are millions of them printed every day around the World so if some **** want's to pay his own money for one and burn it what's the problem?
These incidents are horrendous and the world is spinning out of control - ain't gonna be easy to fix, but deportation to country of origin for anyone committing a serious crime - adopted across the UN and beyond would certainly be effective for both getting rid of scrotes and appeasing growing extreme nationalism ... just my opinion, of course...
My pal who moved up here from London mentions the Somalians. He says there’s big gangs of them marauding around London committing crime and dealing drugs. They don’t seem to offer a lot of benefit to the UK. Back to Türkiye, the same things we have all experienced are happening over there. Longer waits for medical care and less Turkish people in work because people are employing Syrian people who are working for half the money and a lot of the time, illegally, which obviously means employers paying less tax and the state bringing in less money. It’s causing hell.
Exactly. It’s ignorant, it’s pointless, it’s disrespectful. It’s not against the law, though. We also can’t start classing every time someone gets offended, which is a lot these days, as a hate crime. We’d be tying ourselves up in knots trying to keep up and then freedoms really would have gone out of the window. As a country, that’s what we are supposed to pride ourselves on.
No problem at all if they want to burn it in the comfort of their own homes... but why would anybody take any book and go and burn it in a public place? ... answers on a postcard...
When people act stupid like that but acting within the law of the country, they should just be ignored. That’s all you can do. They shouldn’t be attacked or prosecuted. There’s no justification for either of these things happening.
Saf - you know that these incidents are 'hate crimes' - and not my definition - but that's why the bloke burning one in a public place (outside a Muslim country's consulate ffs) is facing a sentence ... Now my view is a simple one - if you believe Sharia Law should take precedence - speak out and be moved to a country where it is, and quickly ... but I hate intolerance and disrespect ... in all its guises...
They will if you douse them in lighter fuel then wedge firmly between your arse cheeks as you set alight ... Can somebody check on Diego in about an hour? - I plan to be sleeping...
I don’t like intolerance or disrespect neither. However, it’s still not against the law to burn any religious books, though. My point still stands, we can’t go around calling everything a hate crime every time someone gets offended. Especially when it’s within the laws of the UK what they’re being offended about. Im not mentioning or only talking about Muslims, btw.
... OK ... so what do you think the intentions / purpose of the guy burning the copy of the Quran were?
No idea. Can’t understand why anyone would do that. Seems so pointless, to me. Maybe that was their way of protesting.
