Who do you think we’d lose? Out of interest. Jobe the main one, we have Aleksic. I don’t think there’s a second player that I’m convinced would leave. Brighton likely back in for Tommy, easily replaced. We could lose Trai or Cirks but we do have Huggins due back. Obviously we couldn’t keep Enzo but we were fine before him, even if we are better with.
Enjoyed that. I’ve had them all week at graft going on like City would be ‘scared of them’. I’ll enjoy those follow up conversations Monday.
Burnley have barely laid a glove on us in two games ... ... and we scored against their world class legendary entertaining defence. F*ck them, we could be level with Burnley on Monday.
Who’d we lose if we aren’t promoted? Jobe and Dan Neil (if his contract isn’t sorted). I’d be shocked if Cirkin didn’t have admirers, quality player when fit Not too fussed about many others, all replaceable
It’s like it’s thought the more positive outlookers of us don’t see what a good side is. Yet we’ve all said ‘Leeds will step away from us’. I have not and will not change my stance. All things equal we are the second best side in the league.
Crystal Palace v Everton just kicked off Neither side will go down so hopefully some attacking intent shown
Perhaps you could remind them that Newcastle have lost more games than any team in the top half ... ... scored less than Brentford and conceded more than Everton. Why on earth would Man City be scared of them
I agree. And I’d suggest we already have succession players for 2 of the 3. We aren’t gonna lose the heart and the main bulk of the team, plus we will add to. In the worst case scenario that we stay down altogether, I’d EXPECT promotion next year. Never at any point this season including current day have I expected it this season.
I’m glad I held off and didn’t battle in advance. I said ‘best chance you’ll have but they are still City’ Means I can essentially do a metaphorical knee slide into the office on Monday
Crazy mate. Been brilliant in Europe but can’t buy a run in league. They have such a good squad should be 3rd at worst. They have several really exceptional players. I wouldn’t take any of there wing backs for us mind, maybe that’s how teams are getting at them, and their CM is really average, in a league and a country we’re CM has always been dominant.
Leeds were by far the better side in 1973 ... ... that didn't stop everyone in Sunderland believing we'd win the FA Cup. If football is about logic, stats and expected goals then you're looking at it all wrong ... ... no one expected Porterfield to score or Monty to save a certain goal.
If you think I’m actually knee sliding across a carpet at graft then you are mistaken mate. If I was full of ale and shots maybe, but that’s frowned upon at 9am Monday morning
My favourite side to watch this season. Everyone knows what they are good at, and where to be. Excellent players and supremely coached. Brilliant side, brilliant gaffer.
I've switched it off to watch a rerun of Preston v Burnley ... ... just can't get enough of that eleven man defence
should have swapped tommy for Wellbeck in the window anyhow top 2 place gone now due to Coventry, Watford, at home pen misses, late goals conceded etc i fear we will play the bogey team Coventry in the play offs, so need to win there in the league. But getting key players back will be vital and need to start resting Isidor, Mayenda, Ballard, Le fee.
