I fell out of love with Bob Dylan years ago , I've seen him live 3 times and that would be Good Bad and woeful but Mrs Conn and me went to see the Complete Unknown and it was very good to the point where he went electric I wanted to shout Judas, I've dug out my early Dylan albums and getting to love his early stuff all over again The other reason to recommend the film was we both stayed awake from beginning to end
The Pistols with Frank Carter, Kid Kapichi and The Molotovs at The RAH, 24th March, you say? I say, I hope I can get tickets!!! 4 days before Mrs B's birthday, too. Excellent!
After yesterday's kick in the nuts at the lane ,Mrs Conn and me went to see the uk Pink Floyd experience, not being in a good mood I sat back and thought " entertain me " they were brilliant, I've seen PF 7 times from the Dark side of the Moon tours , wish you were here tours , distant sound of thunder and the Wall . The musicians were spot on the lighting, visuals and sound very good and when they did Great Gig in the Sky the female vocalist nailed it , Mrs Conn was in tears after that track it was so moving , none of the previous Floyd gigs did the female vocalist manage to match of ClareTorry from the album but Emma Street blew us away If you're into your Prog give them a try
My eldest went to see the film on Sunday. NOT IMPRESSED. Like her mother, she's no Dylan fan and couldn't see the point of it.
A stunningly beautiful woman and a proper human being, flawed and wonderful in equal measures. I remember when she married a Vibrator...to much hilarity, given her rumoured taste for chocolate in the 60's...but she rose above it all and will always be THE 'Girl on a Motorcycle'
She epitomised the '60's, particularly London in the 60's for me. That fragile, vulnerable ephemeral beauty, disguising an inner strength.
The Hervana idea doesn't bother me, but I can't help but suspect that Grohl is pulling a PR move here. His Nicest Man in Rock image took a big hit when he knocked up someone who wasn't his wife last year.
In the week that Bruce Foxton announced that the current From The Jam tour will be his last due to continuing health issues here's an old favourite. I must confess when I saw them last in Dec 23 he wasn't looking great, so thank you for the music and the memories Bruce
I saw him last May and he looked very frail and rather lost. Also, a few months back, I chatted with a member of a band who had been on tour with him last year and he said that he was surprised that he was still touring. I hope that he'll be OK for a while longer, yet. .
