Leeds lad in my team at work was saying today that they’re playing well but that we have strong players and game changers. Mentioned being worried about Isidor who has quality backed up by quality in midfield. Reckons if our full backs defend well we could win but they attack well from the sides. As do we mind. I’d be temped with a double pivot and play Mayenda to break with speed.

Isidor would make me nervous, that pace and rocket shot are dangerous.

From what I've seen of them, the lad Solomon looks a real handful. Keep him quiet and look to catch them on the counter. A point is a good result but I think both teams can see it as a free hit as, given the opposition, either would be forgiven for loosing this one.

Leeds like a team to have a go at them according to their podcast guy.

RLB masterstroke of counter football perhaps ?

or we could bloody well overwhelm them with our utter class …

Agree. We will need to win just to get a draw. I can imagine we will not get many decisions in our favour

I’ve had a few pints and I’m revising my prediction to something more sensible. 3-0 to the lads.

Dont concede in the 1st 15 mins and then take control. Going for 1-2. It would be nice if Roberts could get the winner. Started playing better the last few games.
Reggie showed his passion recently. I wonder how he will react if we could pull this one off.
    My biggest concern is Pawson.

As always RTB we are blessed to have you and these write ups.

Agree about their threat, wingers have got to help out as Leed's fullbacks will get forward as well. Got to play narrow and not allow spaces for their wingers to cut inside easily against us - Hume and cirkin are 2 of the best fullbacks in the league so can def do it

    https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/24936786.romaine-mundle-alan-browne-back-sunderland-leeds/

ROMAINE MUNDLE and Alan Browne will both be back in the Sunderland squad for Monday night’s Championship game at Leeds United, with Tommy Watson also closing in on a return to full fitness.…

“Romaine is an option for us,” said Le Bris. “We will have to see. We have many players available now, so the selection will be tough. But Romaine should be available. Alan came through the game in the week okay. He is ready to play. Tommy will be back in training next week.”

“Romaine and Tommy are two strong wingers, so it will be good news for us to have them back,” said the Sunderland boss. “But at the same time, they will need a bit of time to recover their level.

“This Championship is very strong and when you’ve missed two, three months - you don’t recover your level straight away. We will be patient and when they are ready, it will give us options.

“With the number ten (position) for example, Riggy (Chris Rigg) is still 17 and he has played so many minutes at an impressive level. This is difficult to maintain, so to have different options will be good.”

.… The home game at the Stadium of Light ended in the most dramatic of fashions when Ilan Meslier’s stoppage-time howler enabled Sunderland to salvage a 2-2 draw, and Le Bris is looking forward to pitting himself against the division’s pace-setters on Monday.

“They are a very good team,” he said. “They have strong momentum, so it will be an exciting challenge. For us, it’s a really good chance to test our limits. I think we can improve our level against the best opponents, and it will be a very interesting challenge to do that.

“They are probably the best team we have faced so far this season. We started well against them at home, but after that we struggled to press and we had to change our structure to manage that problem. They have many vertical threats, and they are very impressive when they have space to exploit, so they were able to counter-attack and score.

“They have many good players and are doing very well. We will have to face many challenges and problems on the pitch, but for me, that is more of a positive challenge than something we have to be scared of. It is just interesting to play this kind of game.”

They are the best side in the league. They like to attack.

We are the second best. We love to counter.

We absolutely have a chance here.

Will be end to end, throughly entertaining for neutrals, and absolutely any result could happen.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say 2-1 the lads. They will still win the league.

They've failed to win a dozen or so games, lost to Blackburn and Millwall and conceded three goals to Portsmouth at home and Hull.

Yes they'll probably win the league but no reason we can't get a result.

From reading a bit today, they are just as worried about us.

A result for us Monday will make the rest of the league sit up and take notice

6/1 seems remarkably generous for a Sunderland win of I misinterpreted that?

Will be having a shilling on it if correct.
