Add Bentancur to the outbox and a proper CM to the inbox, and I'd be fully behind this plan.

    Enough signing middling irrelevant players.

Yes, I meant to put Bentancur in the sell list.

    1. I don't think Poool players live in Toxteth.
    2. The winters in Munich are hardly a siesta, are they,

"And could they afford his wages?
Also they’ve not given Salah a 3 year deal so doubt they’d give Kane a long term contract."

With the money they will be bringing in via on-pitch
success, no doubt they could construct a suitable deal.

Plenty of their players live on Merseyside

I know this mainly due to the sheer volume of stories about their houses being burgled while the Mousers are playing a European away game

Winning Europa is a nice dream but it’s not happening.

    yeh possibly

I still have to dream a little though or I’d pack it in tbh because we at Spurs don’t have anything else

    just dreams

I know you are not totally hopeless…you wouldn’t watch the game if you was

I knew we were going to get hammered on Thursday

if I had to bet my last £ it was on that

however I was still hoping we could find a way

even when we went 1 down and we could all see what was coming

there was this little voice in my head saying…a draw takes us through to extra time/pens whatever the set up is for that competition

I can’t imagine watching a game without zero hope

when the 2nd goal went in I was still hoping we pull 1 back and take it to extra time/pens

3rd goal goes in and I turned it off

I’m hopeful next season without European football (unless a miracle happens) and less fixtures will see Spurs able to compete better in the league and hopefully finish top half again and become harder to score against and beat.

Top half and harder to beat?

    like Fulham?

I want silverware not bothered about top half finishes anymore, killing ourselves to finish 4th in order to make up the numbers in the CL and pocket some more money

    rinse and repeat

yet the level of our team stays the same…mediocre/not bad/inconsistent with the ability to turn it on now and again.

Ange is at worst the latest failure, you might get in Areola or whoever you fancy but come the end of the season we will be what we always are…potless and doing mathematical gymnastics to see what we need others to do so we have a chance of scraping 4/5th at best

Ideally yes, winning trophies and competing for the title but that’s not happened at Spurs for decades and I don’t see it changing anytime soon.

Right now being a Fulham would be a big step up from what Spurs are.

I try to dream but just end up with nightmares, bro.

So used to them now they’re not even scary. I can now laugh instead of cry when Bissouma gives the ball away or Richarlison does his best impersonation of a footballer.

As a start, I'd be happy with knowing that we'd appointed a coach who would use the players we have to their and our best advantage. That the coach had a plan for each game that the players understood, believed in and gave their all for and that everyone at the club was committed to improving their performance and the club's FOOTBALL fortunes on a daily basis.

It's been years since that's been the case. Until it Is, we're going to continue regressing. If we get to that point, we might win something.

    Currently...?

    Not a chance.

One of the benefits of streaming to computer is
that I can keep the match audio on while having
the video hidden (so I can do other things) .
Much of this season I have been doing exactly that. :(

That is not a luxury for attending supporters,
who have invested their physical presence in
    addition to their time.

Which is why I believe the club should be
financially compensating the latter when the
team puts in performances like this week.

Once again a manager under the misery of ENIC never gets the squad he wants, Ange deserves some sympathy like all his predecessors, he wanted the likes of Gallagher and Ramsey to be the mobile and hard working midfielders for his system that Bissouma and Bentancur can`t be, he also wanted Neto and Eze but got neither.

Way to overlook the fact that most of that list didn't want to move for a variety of reasons...

Neto and Eze would've missed the entire season after about two games with their injury records.
Gallagher and Ramsey would just be more options for failure in a system that requires a holding midfielder.
We don't have one, unless you count the 18-year-old that we've basically played in every other position.
