Egan didn't do much wrong but his playing out from the back was so slow and he hardly ever passed forward. McLoughlin's probably the best passer out of our centre-halves available. Also need an actual left-back at left-back as McLoughlin just has no pace whatsoever. Norwich have quick wingers which brings me to my next point: Coyle or Drameh vs Sainz. I'm going with Drameh because he's quicker and also a better 1v1 defender, in my opinion. Crooks looked like a pub player yesterday. If Puerta doesn't play a minute on Saturday, something stinks.

I'd certainly be looking to get Puerta back in, maybe Slater as well, the difficulty is that back 4 isn't it.....doesn't matter which of them you choose you're wincing at the 2 full backs

Yes... and I don't think it's good that Jones moves left to accommodate Egan. Think I'd rather go back to Jones & Macca, with Jacob at LB, with Egan providing cover from the bench and influence in training etc

Jones is too soft. We need a pairing of Egan and McL
 
I was seriously unimpressed with Egan last night, I’ll put it down to the odd situation, his debut against his last team. He needs to defend stronger and pass more progressively on Saturday.

Stayed in Burnley today, spoke to a couple of people about the match. Both said the first half was as well as they’ve played all season. Though we enabled that a bit, it felt quite rabbit in the headlamps at times. Second half was better, a bit.

Doesn’t need to be any deeper than we were outclassed by a premier league team in waiting. Have conceded 9 goals all season, littered with talent
