I totally understand the debate about Roberts. Me personally I love the guy other than steed he's the one player I've seen for us where the ball is literally just glued to his left foot. I've seen him do some ridiculous things and literally tie defenders in knots however his goal and assist stats are poor I can't argue that. The way I look at it is he's definitely a player that gets me on the edge of my seat and I would say we are a weaker side without him in it. Again no stats to back it up with just an opinion based on having a reasonable knowledge of football.
This! Opposition fullbacks must hate playing against us with ELF on the left and Pat on the right, constantly running rings round them with their dribbling skills.
They've got to be the 2 most technically gifted wingers in the Championship. I know Le Fee ain't really a winger but it's where he's currently playing.
I would generally agree. I’ve hammered him on here, but I do think he adds more now he dribbles a bit less weirdly. Passing the ball early. He’s a more nature player now than last year and is more competitive.
I remember him saying they lost to us, down there, but were 'extremely effective' and only lost because of the referee and a couple of fluke goals. Now he reckons we should sell out a 45,000 seater stadium, on a Wednesday night, against the team least likely to play football. Worse than that Luton only managed to bring a few hundred supporters, less than Plymouth ... ... but even worse than that, this boring tosser didn't even go himself How can you possibly criticise other supporters when you don't go yourself. His excuse is that Luton aren't doing very well ... ... yes, exactly when your club needs your support ffs.
Thought it was a very professional performance and I was surprised at how little Luton brought to the table. Neil was superb and thought Ballard had a great game as well. Roberts had a canny game but try telling that to the lad sitting behind me who gave him dogs abuse throughout the first half. Went and sat with one of my mates in the second half to get away from his negativity. Lovely to meet up with you before the game @Smug in Boots hope you enjoyed your first visit to the Sheepfolds!
Nowt I like better than a bit of shadenfrude mate And yes I know it's spelled schadenfreude clever bollocks ... ... I'm just getting a bit more schadenfreude knowing you fell into my pathetic little trap!
You can only beat the team in front of you , because they have problems is irrelevant - just beat them !!!
