Waghorn looks a very good player and I'd have liked to have seen more of him. In many ways he reminded me of Steve McPhee as a player, good football brain, quick and strong. However, his injury record is also starting to look a bit like McPhee's.

 

I bet those two were big losses

Nearly as hard to take as the day you lost Frank Sinclair.

 

Have you highlighted the wrong manager there in that sarky comment?

Little went to Villa and won the League Cup with them when the League Cup was still worth winning (beatring Leeds in the final for extra credit), gave Villa a 4th placed and 5th placed finish in the PL, an FA Cup semi-final, and took them to the UEFA Cup 1/4 Finals (when the UEFA Cup actally had decent sides in it from the start). It was 8 years before another English manager won a trophy, and nobody has managed to win anything for Villa since Little did.

EDIT: And that's without going into the job he did with us when the club was going bust.
