i watched their game v west brom it was katic and maksyms first games and they are the absolutely peak players you want for championship, they give absolutely ****ing everything, the pure desire to block the ball that sort of energy and desire is infectious to the rest of the team, and i think its no coincidence at all, since those two came in theyve picked up form its the complete opposite of coylle
So why do we follow up good performances like agains Leeds and the Bluntscwith abysmal ones. Some of our fans have used having a day less between games than our opponents as an excuse for a poor performance, We have had a long break and looked way behind Burnley for energy. Plymouth had a day’s less rest than Millwall who were on a high after a win at TWS.
I saw the highlights against West Brom and the game against Liverpool and Talovierov’s desire and chest-thumping passion is exactly what you want in a relegation fight. Katić is just tough as nails and an old school-type defender who wins everything in the air. Not shabby on the ball either and defensively he’s solid. Coyle’s in his fifth season at City, is a local lad yet looks defeated already in a relegation fight. I can’t remember a City captain who looks so ****ing glum and meek all the time. You wouldn’t see Ashbee, both Dawson brothers or Davies moping around like he does. What’s up with him?
I think plymouth also switched to 3 cbs since those two joined Feels like their manager realised the problems Recruited some solid defenders and changed their system to fully utilise them and stop conceding so much They got a polish wingback in as well
Consistency is the key to the championship really. Play bad but grind out a result and have a bit about you on good days then you get there or thereabouts. There are no world beaters in the championship, but there's often less complete dross than people like to think.
We will prob win a couple of home games, trouble is we probably need to win most of them and that’s a big ask to go from barely winning any in a year to winning 5 out of 7 or whatever it is , going to go down to the wire
No, we need to not get beaten in most of them, as well as win a couple. The PPG average under Selles has been fine so far to see us safe. But those home games around sides around us are pretty crucial. No doubt about it.
