Match Day Thread Burnley v Hull City

Burnley was always a big ask, they’ve got some good players, parachute payments etc. I’m not too worried about tonight, we’ve got a lot of the teams to play in the bottom 8-10, some of them at home. The worry is the home form and city just been city, there’s enough quality but there isn’t enough goals.

 

Makes no sense for Puerta to be out the team. He’s must not fit ‘the style’ in one way or another. Probably our most in form player and just been completely dropped and for what?

City improved in the second half with a bit less walking football. Still too slow moving it forward though.

Definite improvement but from a very low base.

 

If he won't sanction Burstow leaving to strengthen a rival, he isn't going to waste a squad space for the rest of the season by including someone he can't play.

 

McCann didn’t play Lewis-Potter during his contract saga in League One for a bit because he had an automatic appearance-based wage increase in his current contract. I’m pretty sure McCann was quizzed on it and he said something similar.

If the rumours were true it would be a won’t play him not a can’t play him, and would be for just a few weeks. His inclusion in the squad could be man management in that scenario. That’s how I’d reassure the player he’s actually wanted.
