The last Merseyside derby at Goodison later on tonight A chance for Liverpool to go 9 points clear at the top
Leeds winning at Watford 4-0 says how low we have fallen, teams are rubbish, rubbish, rubbish then play us and get a result then rubbish again, we better improve, Ba and the under 21's were fantastic last night 7-0 and could have been 10 he scored a hatrick so needs to be on the bench against Luton and come on.
I don't buy this notion that teams play out their skins against us and roll over to have their bellies tickled for our promotion rivals. Watford looked better against us because we let them. No shame in not being as dominant as Leeds, they have the best squad in the league by some distance, imo. Similarly, if we manage to get a result at Leeds on Monday, it won't be because they "didn't turn up" or "had an off day" (as some will probably have you believe), it will be because we didn't let them play their game, and Regis outthought Farke...
I'm sure, by the time of the last game there, the whole nation will be expected to come to a standstill and observe five minutes silence. There’ll be more news coverage than there was for Dennis Law whose funeral was yesterday. When we played our last game at Roker, ironically against Everton, there was no misty eyed sentimentality, just a bit on MOTD and a few minutes on Look North … … Everton will, no doubt, be on national news with images of people in tears laying wreaths and lighting candles
Mines back to normal today, working fine again. No idea what was going on last night, every other site was fine.
I don’t massively rate him but it’s a blow when you look at the lack of options Arsenal have in forward areas
I think Arsenal are in big trouble. Havertz out for the season with a hamstring tear so now they only have 3 fit first team attackers in Sterling, Trossard and Nwaneri. That's a bottom half front 3 with no depth behind them. Gross negligence to not bring in a forward in January.
I'm becoming more and more convinced that the London clubs aren't interested in spending big to win things. Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham, Spurs know they'll win the occasional trophy and play in Europe enough, to keep the fans happy. They sell out their grounds to anyone who'll pay to get in. They sell merchandise around the globe and make millions from Sky and therefore sponsorship. Spending another £100m + wages won't bring in much more money so what's the point ... ... there may be the occasional slip with Spurs and West Ham, if they get the balance slightly wrong, but so what. They won't go down and will make twice the money the likes of Sunderland can dream of. Leicester didn't become rich through winning the title, in fact it did them no favours after the event.
Club Brugge are such an underrated team. Loads of young players in their team mixing it with the best in the world and they look good against them. Jashari controlled the midfield against City and he’s doing it again against Atalanta.
That penalty decision in injury time from Brugge is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. VAR proving absolutely useless yet again.
