I was out on one of my walks when a guy asked if I wanted “to stroke his cocker spaniel”. I chose the spaniel.
Guess this probably belongs in here, FM25 has been cancelled which means we won’t be able to play a game with Dibling at Saints with an official update on him. Probably Fernandes too
For those who still rely on paper boarding passes at airports, it’s worth knowing that Ryanair will be going totally digital in the next few months, so make sure you have your boarding passes downloaded to your phone, or you will probably have to pay an arm and leg for them to allow you to board the plane.
I have recently started on a new hobby to help pass a bit of time and to hopefully impress my son and grandson when they visit in 8 weeks time. I am learning simple card tricks and am amazed at how easy some are, that don’t need sleight of hand. Some need the pack to be set up in a specific way but I still don’t have a clue how the end result works. Plenty of people to follow on YouTube, if anyone is interested, as they initially show you the trick, before breaking it down into simple stages. Then comes the difficult bit. Remembering the stages you have to follow, without mixing two different tricks together.
Have I mentioned how much I hate technology. Phone worked ok…then it decided to launch ‘improvements’. Aka bxxxxxxxx it up. Before I could rapidly check emails and delete/move as required. Occasionally I would check emails regarded as junk by phone. Worked great. Now it is sorting by itself into categories, so I have to check these in case I’m missing something or it has fxxxxxx up. How is this better! IT guys need to get a life and stop trying to justify their existence.
It's incredibly annoying - if you swipe left at the top though, it'll put 'all mail' back on as the main filter.
Tried that…didn’t work. Will try again when new emails pop up. Don’t get me wrong…I enjoy technology that entertains or does useful stuff…and there’s a lot of that…it is just that some changes are just because they can and not really that it is needed. Booking holidays…great. Using airports…not so much.
A review for a local chippy, about 10 minutes drive, has popped up on my YouTube feed. It’s an extremely popular place for residents and visitors alike and the food is always top quality, although the small fish in this video really is small. Medium is normally sufficient for most, as can be seen on the woman’s plate. Plenty of variety and they also do all day breakfasts for those wanting them. They are so busy that it’s wise to phone through your takeaway order to reduce your waiting time there, or alternatively you can order at the counter and drink a beer while you wait. Odd fact. The first time I appeared on Google Earth I was driving to this chippy to pick up a takeaway.
To each their own. My spicy wedges and wings. get dipped in a mixture of mayo, tom ketchup and sriracha or a dollop of Mrs Jabs homemade sambal.
Mayo on chips, unless they are really greasy then tomato sauce. English Breakfasts are a different thing. Brown sauce or no sauce.
Brown sauce and mustard a great combo. If Farage wants to rage about something HP sauce is made in the Netherlands
It’s HUGE. If you lived next door it’d be a 5 minute drive Mind you, if you’re eating F&C you should walk, you need the exercise What’s the customer base? All or mainly Brits, or mixed? Fries - Mayo Chips - Curry Sauce or Balsamic, rarely Bella-Ketchup Mrs S likes Malt Vinegar, not for me Our best F&C are at a local pub, as it’s all cooked to order But it does lack that special je ne sais quoi of eating it at the seaside while fighting off the gulls
