Not sure if others have noticed but Arshavin has almost had some magical moments - unfortunately some other players have ruined it. Had benayoun not gone for the cross Arshavin would of had a goal and again beny got in his way for what looked a break away run and then players twice have made runs which arshavin has picked up on and played the ball only for the players not to continue there runs. Passes which split the defence. Chamakh working hard and could get a goal if he keeps it up even tho he could of done a little better with a chance or two. Frimpong has looked good if a little slow at times to play the ball but has been great going foward and players should make the runs foward for him to play the passes.
Once again Djourou is ball watching and lets the striker run off him, he is an amateur and should be playing Sunday league football all the threat so far has come from the side where squill and Djourou are and its no surprise that they are failing at their job, our midfield have been pretty poor so far and players like Arshavin need to work a lot harder, he looses the ball and doesn’t track back meaning were put under more pressure.
The defending was pretty dire, it can only get better in the second half. Olympiakos won't be able to keep up that pace for the whole game, I think we need to be patient, we've got goals in us. We don't want to go crazy out of the blocks looking for a goal in the second half and leave ourselves open for a 3rd. If we can get one back, it's game on
