It's certainly a funny old game when you consider that Posh have scored seven more than us this season, yet we are fifteen places and twenty points better off than them.
Up to 5th Have that @TC (Lovely Geezer) The only disappointment tonight for our mingey SMT will be the paltry 7,000 attendance.
We're on a run, many times a team will come from nowhere so why not us? Being realistic promotion would come via the play-offs. Important footnote, should we not go up, this season will be a failure.
Not a great display but we deserved the win. We started sluggishly but the last 25 minutes of the first half it was all us.We really should have been two to three up. I thought both penalties were harsh from where I was. Am not sure about the sending off. Great delivery on the corner from Gilbert. I don’t know how Gillesphey got it in. Another fighting three points. We don’t look pretty at times but we are becoming very effective.
It’s all about momentum & consistency now. Birmingham won 4-0 tonight & Saturday will be the acid test for this team. There will be no hiding place at St Andrews. We will learn where we truly stand with this team.
We didn’t play particularly well but who cares when you score a late winner. Somehow I preferred those 3 points to Saturday's, when we played very well. Time for Aneke to come to some financial arrangement with the club. So unfit. And useless 3 cameos on the spin now.
Delighted with that win. It’s us and Orient that are in form now. I reckon that we will both make playoffs.
The trouble is we need him. As much as I hate to type this but he is gonna be really pivotal in the run in. I think he is not training to stay uninjured if that makes sense.
I’ve just watched Nathan Jones’ post match interview on Charlton TV. Fair play to him, he’s turned it around, as he said he would. He was right and his critics, me included, were wrong. 13 clean sheets so far this season, and a team that the support is starting to relate to. Roll on Saturday & Birmingham, there should be a cracking atmosphere up there.
Well done Charlton you was the better side only a few things what pissed me off your penalty man had his arms down. ball hit him them not hand to ball and secondly why was your man not sent off as he was last man?
You had better ask the ref. I thought he was awful last night. We deservedly won. Ferguson and Anthony are taking your Club backwards.
The law has been changed. If the ref had given the offence outside the area he would have sent him orft, but under the new double jeopardy ruling it's either a penalty or a red card as long as the defender makes an attempt to play the ball. If he just takes the attacker out without trying to play the ball it can be a penalty and a red card.
