Only game that matters.

The word needs to be given to the players. Dive all you like. Do not back chat this ref. Don't kick a ball away.

Oliver is a bit of a gobshite but the only risk with him.is a second yellow cos he's booked you for mouth or doing something silly.

Have to go full bore and win this well. It's going to be a physical game.

Hope Eddy Smart is going to be Smart on Wednesday.

Red good. Blue evil.

Ok... Not evil... That's uncalled for... But less good.

We must not lose. One point is not a disaster, but three is better.

They may have won their last 3... but I expect us to beat a bottom 5 team. Not saying it will be easy, especially being a derby, but I do consider one point against a bottom 5 team to be highly disappointing. Anything less than 3 points would be a bad omen in our title race. A draw pointwise is closer to losing than it is to winning and I would consider a draw here as barely better than losing.

Update: Although with that said... I did a little research
4 out of the last 5 times we won the title we had at least one 0-0 draw with Everton. 89/90 is the only season we won without a 0-0 draw with Everton...

... so maybe we do want a scoreless draw afterall.

Though not entirely irrelevant, league position is less significant in a derby game.

We all know they raise their game.

They are 9 clear so 1 point is gravy for them.

Night game also helps the atmosphere at the wooden shack on its "send off"

The only thing we have in our favour is moyes tragic record against us.

Best result is win with no injuries
Next best is draw with no injuries

Basically we don't want to see a ref start indulge assaults and come out with a brown ankle or what have you as has happened before.

Under Moyes I've only watched them against Spurs, which tbh I'm pretty sure was an anomaly in terms of tactics/style of play we should expect from them. Ndiaye seems to be their main threat.

It's not unreasonable to expect that a side without any strikers or good forwards might not score many.

This is another case of taking the proper chances and not being greedy.

I'd fully expect 70% of the ball unless they are really going to try make it a fast paced 80s game.
