Exactly. There’s a few on here that won’t call out or blame Hamas until they’ve been backed into corner so much that they feel like they’ve got to say something. It’s usually ‘Hamas are ****s’ followed by a full paragraph on Trump and Israel.

It’s never sincere with them. That’s obvious. Piskie refused to condemn Hamas and call them terrorists for sometime after October 7th.

Trump has told Hamas all hostages to be released by noon on Saturday.

I said from the outset I was not happy with the hostage release negotiations, Hamas only releasing them in dribs and drabs while hundreds of prisoners are being released.

The King of Jordan is currently at the White House meeting Trump, I think he's agreed to take in more children. I've not heard anymore so don't know the finer detail.

 

Prisoners? More like captives.

I knew that Jordan had taken Palestinian refugees after the last time they were expelled, but I didn't realise just how many. Apparently today there are 2.6m Palestinian refugees living in Jordan, almost half of the population !

 

Still makes no sense, you asked which version the peaceful or the jealous angry one, if you commit sin, regardless if you were a peaceful person or a jealous angry person, human life should be sacred and life precious, I'm not referring to any particlular religion, more the morals of life. Leaders of this world, peaceful or terrorists, have led to the death of thousands of people across this planet, to me that is morally wrong, to send one man to kill another for any reason, even if you feel it justified.

 

President Trump has threatened to withhold economic aid from Jordan if it, along with Egypt, won’t accept Palestinians from Gaza.

Jordan has rejected the idea as a fundamental breach of international law.

The country is making it clear - behind the scenes - it views the Trump proposal as posing an existential threat to Jordan itself.

The idea of hosting expelled Palestinians wrenches at the kingdom’s already weakened fault lines. Its population includes millions descended from Palestinian refugees forced from the land that became Israel in 1948, alongside those whose roots lie firmly east of the River Jordan.

The country has also absorbed waves of refugees from Syria.

That in a state reliant on US economic assistance means King Abdullah’s message to Trump is likely to be blunt: his Gaza transfer plan could unleash chaos in Jordan and undermine decades of relative stability with its neighbour Israel.

I've just seen the comment Welshie made about Jordan taking in refugees. I didn't realise it was half of the Jordanian population.

 

Welshie gave the figure of 3M...you might not know the population of Jordan but it seems to me you are clutching at straws again to get your bias across. Let's face facts you ****ing hate Israeli's it's been clear since the 7th Oct 2023, the darkest day in Jewish history (since the Holocaust) and I've been arguing with you ever since on this score. Hamas would irradicate Israel if they could, not move them to another country, and you even refused on that day and the following days to condemn Hamas as terrorists, the same terrorists that dress up as soldiers in front of frightened captives, but remove the uniforms and hide behind kids when real soldiers come along. Ukraine can't fight the might of Russia, but at least they do it with dignity.
