Burnley FC, small irrelevant club in a cricket town, They’re not even the biggest club in the street, Smaller than their next door neighbours. City 3-0 LCCC (Lancashire ****y ****y ****s)
I can't believe they have only conceded 9 goals all season. Wonder what the record is. 37 goals for and 3rd.
'This record is shared by Sheffield United, QPR and Newcastle, who conceded 17 each in 2008/09, 2010/11 and 2016/17 respectively.'
Thats not right at all Newcastle conceded 40 that season Qpr 32 N sheff utd 39 In those 3 seasons you listed I believe the record for a 46 game season Is 20 conceded by gillingham in division three in the 90s
Chelsea, 15 goals in 04/05. Man U have the best home record with only 4 goals conceded at home in 94/95. Burnley currently have the best defensive record in the country.
Average it over 46 games and it still comes out, rounded down, to 18 conceded. Plus that was in the premier league, not league 2, which makes it all the more impressive.
He might do this actually. He did it at Reading with Michael Craig playing as a right-back that moved into midfield in possession. Something like this maybe. Out of possession it's just a 4-3-3 with Slater at right-back and Jacob at left-back but in possession Slater goes into midfield and Jacob becomes an extra centre-half.
